FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Please don't skip me because my price is lower than others. It truly does not represent the quality of work you will receive. I price myself lower for a couple of reasons. First I want to establish myself fast. I understand that I need to get a solid customer base and by offering a lower price, I can get more work. Second, I want to be affordable for everyone. I do not want cost to factor in when a family is deciding to keep their dog or not. I want every dog to have the opportunity to receive training and lessen the chances of that dog going to a shelter untrained.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common training that I have is for typical obedience or what I like to call "House Manners". No jumping, destruction, stealing, barking. Typical puppy behavior with house breaking, play biting, chewing, kennel training. I also get calls for aggression and anxiety issues which is behavior modification. I have great success with all of these and the testimonials to back them up.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Check out the credentials of a trainer. There are so many out there that think they are trainers but have not put much into it as far are studies, case work, modification, the psychology of it all. Some have had no formal training. Make sure they know their stuff, even as far as health and pet well being goes. If you present an issue and the trainer does not as more questions about any possible underlying medical issues that the dog may have, think twice. For instance, if your dog is suddenly eliminating in the house and they think it may be reverting in training.... the trainers first advice or question should be for you to take the dog into the vet or ask if you have and see if there might be an infection first.
