I recently hired Chef Daniel for a special pasta night with 10 old college friends in my grotto, and I can’t recommend him highly enough! From start to finish, the experience was flawless and truly memorable. He arrived about two hours early to set up, but he was so unobtrusive that we barely noticed him preparing behind the scenes. We kicked off the evening with a beautifully arranged cheese and charcuterie board that set the perfect tone. Then came the main event — making fresh pasta from scratch. Chef Daniel demonstrated the dough-making process with ease, though he had already prepped our dough, rested and ready at three different “stations,” each featuring a unique pasta shape. The interactive setup was fantastic — after each demo, we rotated through the stations to try making each noodle ourselves. Meanwhile, he walked us through making three different sauces, sharing tips and stories that kept everyone engaged. Once the pasta was ready, he kindly ushered us out of the kitchen to relax and reminisce while he delivered the meal family-style, accompanied by homemade focaccia. All three pasta dishes were absolutely delicious — rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. He even thoughtfully sent wine pairing recommendations ahead of time, which I bought on my own to save a bit — a nice touch that showed his attention to detail. To finish, we enjoyed a classic tiramisu that was traditional and delectable. The timing was perfect: just the right mix of hands-on instruction and casual downtime with friends. The whole evening felt intimate and special, exactly what we hoped for. We’re already in talks to have him cater my daughter’s wedding! If you’re looking for a caterer who’s professional, personable, and passionate about food, Chef Daniel is your guy. Highly, highly recommend!
