Eliza Rocks! I wish she were still down in the D.C. Metro area because we need her to help with the second half of our big project. She helped us re-locate to a temporary kitchen in the basement of our house while we built a new one, and now that the new one is built, we need her help to get us back upstairs, discard additional junk, and organize the new one. Somehow we'll have to manage . . . . . Dave and Laurie, Bethesda, Maryland.

Eliza is a bundle of energy that arrived at my home eager to organize! We tackled two bedrooms, a basement storage area, a kitchen pantry and office desk area. Eliza is persistent and has great suggestions. In my case, she kept me focused and insisted that we complete each job. She is a master at organizing, making each space user friendly. While it is terrific to admire our newly organized space, it also feels great to see Eliza fill her car at the end of the day with items to donate to worthy causes. Eliza is the BEST! We were desperate for help. We had moved cross country and I was 8 months pregnant. Eliza showed up and worked for two days helping us unpack, settle in and declutter. She even arranged to handle all of our donations and provided us with a receipt. We felt like a huge weight had been lifted when she was done.

All I can say is WOW! Eliza is great. I was skeptical at first but she got us all involved right away and it before we knew it the closets looked like the ones you see in magazines. Working with her is therapeutic and liberating- she is very sensitive to how people can feel about their belongings and helps with solutions to holding on to memories without having to hold on to the objects themselves. She has been to our house twice and I would love to have her back again and again (we have a LOT of stuff!) Call her- you will be so happy you did.

Eliza helped me organize and dispose of enumerous items that needed to be dealt with prior to moving out of our home. She did so with efficiency, clarity and gentle guidence as I struggled through the process of "letting go" of percevied treasures that required repurposing or recycling. She sold items for us, delivered items to appropriate non profits and helped pack up things in an orderly and sensible fashion. We couldn't have been more pleased with her work and delightful personality. I highly recommend her for any task!

Oh yes! I have to, for my certification. I take wonderful classes with the Institute for Challenging Disorganization, almost weekly. I also read constantly on my kindle- books on hoarding, organizing techniques, psychology, and minimalism. I love my profession!
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I used to de-clutter my aunt's junk drawers and closets when I was feeling stressed. I always felt better afterward (and so did she!). She convinced me to start Simplicana in 2010.
