Steve was kind enough to come out in the freezing cold and do a highly needed fence repair. Hey did a great quality work! I sincerely appreciate his willingness to help out quickly and efficiently in less than ideal conditions.
I hired H&A for a wood fence repair in a corner of my yard where there had been significant erosion. It took a bit for Andy and I to connect the first time. Once we made the connection though, communication was excellent by phone and text and through thumbtack. He provided an estimate, arranged for the utilities to be marked, and came onsite to do the work all within 8 days of the estimate. I was very pleased with the work and would not hesitate to have H&A do additional fence work for me.
I contracted Rojas General Contracting to replace a wood fence on my rental property, that is 250 miles from my residence. I was very pleased with the bidding process and the schedule that was promised to get the job done. The new fence was installed on time and with excellent workmanship. I would recommend Rojas General Contracting as a reputable business that is very professional and they provide great customer service also.
The Chore Boys went the extra mile in getting my house power washed and also an application treatment to ward off mildew on vinyl siding. They kept me informed on their work, arrival time and their cost quote.
Very happy with the fence installation from start to finish. One thing I really appreciated was that there was a side post that seemed slightly higher than the others posts, and Jon had it fixed within a couple days. Scales fence seemed like it was a little higher quality than a couple of the other bids we received. Very good work, fast installation, and great to work with.
I would recommend Joe's fencing to anyone who's looking for friendly professional fencing contractor Job well done Joe and thanks for completing my project ahead of schedule
I had Mark repair my fence as well as replace and repair a substantial portion of my deck. The quality of his work appears to be excellent. He did all of the work he said he would do, he did it promptly, and at a reasonable price.
We ended up working with Ed and I was very pleased with our fence repair and small ceiling repair job -- he did an awesome job. I was especially happy with how fair and direct the bidding was compared to other contractors I've dealt with (who seem to just be trying to rip me off). There was no mark up for materials and the estimated labor was pretty spot on for the time it took to complete our jobs. I will definitely hire them again.
Needed a wall repair for damaged done by our truck running into the wall as well as a ceiling patch. Rob and George were friendly, efficient and professional. We'll definitely use their services in the future!
Matt did a great job replacing my old picket fence with a new one. My property had some unusual grading issues, and Matt was able to figure out a good solution that was a big improvement over the original design. My assessment of Matt is that he is a sincere person and a hard worker. I have hired contractors through Thumbtack before, and while some of them suddenly increased their prices when they hit an unforeseen problem, or even threatened to walk away altogether, Matt impressed me with his persistence, and his willingness to solve the problem, even though he probably ended up losing some of his profits by doing so.
It was a pleasure to work with them. They responded quickly, on time, and explained everything in detail. They corrected the bad work that we had done by another company and now my fence is sturdy and looks great. We will be sure to call them for any other work we need done!
Shawn was amazing! I requested a quote on Wednesday, and Shawn was able to come out the next day. He was friendly, thorough and efficient. He offered advice on my landscaping as well as offered to repair my fence. If you're looking for someone good and reasonably priced, Shawn is your guy!
Ben did a few odd jobs for me, he cleaned my basement, repaired the flashing on the roof skylight, weeding & cutting small trees, hedge trimming, painting the back yard fence. his work was good and on time and advice invaluable. What impressed me most was he came to work on the second day even though he was ill. I do recommend him and would rehire him any time going forward.
Jeff Allen did an outstanding job repairing my wood fence. The fence has never looked this nice. I requested this morning through Thumbtack that I needed to have wood panels replaced, and the job was completed this afternoon at a very reasonable price.
I called Handy Andy because my honey do list was out of control. Now I'm ready for the holidays and the honey do list is gone! We had plumbing leaks that damaged drywall and paint. Closet shelves needing built. Electrical that never seem to work right. Even fence repair Jeff with Handy Andy took care of everything! He was on time gave us a price and everything was done quickly. I will use Handy Andy every time !!
Great job on the fence repair and very professional. Will definitely hire again.
I am extremely impressed with Holderman Construction. I recently hired this company for a project that involved several components, both indoor and exterior components, and I was completely satisifed with the results of every single component. I’ll go into the details in a minute, but among the highlights of working with this company were the excellent communication and feedback, the punctuality, great professionalism, and above all, the incredible attention to detail and high work quality, along with an excellent value - these guys put a lot of labor into my project at more than a fair price. And they were extremely easy to work with. My project lasted 4 days and they were great to interact with every single day, and did quality work every day. They were polite, friendly, and clean. They even removed their shoes, and did an outstanding job with post-project cleanup. The main interior project was bathroom remodeling of cabinets. We had attempted previously to have someone use color stain to re-stain our cabinets and trim, and we just never liked the results. So this project was starting to add up in cost, with a readily we didn’t really like. Ray (the primary/owner) and Aaron (one of his main partners) did an absolutely outstanding job on the bathroom cabinets. They fully sanded all the drawers and doors down so that the previous and original stains/polyurethane were completely removed before applying the color stain again. That was a critical component, because in the end, the color stain ended up looking terrific - even better than I’d hoped it would look. My expectation of how they should look when completed came from the swatches of the particular color I selected (rustic grey) for the color stain I’d purchased. We realized that the previous application of that same stain, we weren’t really seeing the wood come through the stain, but instead the previous (original) stain, becuase it hadn’t been fully removed. In the end, the cabinets and trim looked BETTER than that expectation! Ray and Aaron really hit it out of the park on this one. And when they were done with the sanding and staining, they cleaned up really well from the dust and there was very little lingering chemical smell from the stain. Awesome! I also had them fix some lingering plumbing problems that had frustrated me because a previous contractor was not able to resolve them. Not Holderman Construction - fixed them both for good. The remaining components of my project were wood rot repair and storm door installation. I really loved what they did with both of these tasks. Seems straightforward but there is the materials aspect - which product, wood or vinyl, etc. There was an odd complexity to the back door wood rot that introduced a potential obstacle but Ray and Aaron were able to find a solution and overcome it by finding the right type of wood at the right thickness (original builder apparently chose an unorthodox door and window frame thickness for SOME but not all of my windows and doors). They repaired the wood rot and painted over it and it looks great and is of course no longer rotted. But the real bonus for me was that in the process, Ray managed to correct an incredibly vexing problem with the main back door in front of the storm door - it was not level, and leaking a TON, and I mean a TON of air through the bottom and the sides. I didn’t go into the storm door installation with any expectation of improving the air flow issue for that door, but that’s what I ended up with. An almost complete remediation of that problem. I am absolutely thrilled with the back door now. It closes properly, it’s level, and virtually no air coming in! That’s only been bothering us for 15 years now. On top of that, several other contractors tried, but ultimately failed, to resolve that issue with the door. And come to think of it, at least one if not two previous contractors told me they’d fixed wood rot issues that they really did not fix. Well, they’re fixed now, becuase Holderman Construction fixed them CORRECTLY. Ray is highly attentive to detail, does quality work, at a more than fair price. You can tell he knows what he’s doing. And I can say the same for Aaron, his partner. I really enjoyed working with them, and not only would I hire Holderman Construction again, but I’m sure right now that I WILL hire them again for other projects I have waiting. I highly recommend them.
Ric did an excellent job on a 50+ foot long picket fence we needed installed on some tricky terrain. Processional, punctual and got the job done right! Good price, too. Highly recommend him and would definitely hire him again!
I originally contacted John to repair my fence gates, which he did a fantastic job. I also asked him to replace my front door that same day, not a simple job as it turns out. John took the time to make it look and operate correctly. I will definitely be using him in the future. Thank you!
We had rented out our previous home for fourteen years. It had gotten very run down during that time. Mark installed all new LED light fixtures, new doors, new flooring, new fencing, a new front porch, new landscaping, new second deck, and a host of other repairs. We sold it for above asking price. Mark's a great guy with a tremendous work ethic and commitment to his customers. I'm now utilizing him with reoairs on my present home as well.
I’ve had Collin do several projects crown molding in the master bedroom, backyard privacy fence, landscape bricks, painting and new bathroom vinyl flooring, tear out bathroom and build an archway.
