Mounted my 50" TV to my natural rock fireplace. Aided in picking the placement of the mount to ensure the best hold. Will likely hire again to help with the installation of the electric in my mantel and install the mantel itself. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the quoted price was incomplete. It did not mention the hourly rate for labor, so the actual cost was higher than the quote. Other than that, great service.

Highly recommend, very honest people have had two issues that confirms to me this is the BEST business to bring your TV’s for repair. Issue One Plasma TV –would not power on and found there website and figured why not, a Free estimate what have I got to lose and maybe I could save a few dollars to repair instead of replacing the TV. Shortly after dropping it off I received the call the TV was in need of some parts that were not longer available, and instead of getting some questionable parts just to make it worked they recommended not repairing the TV. Issue Two Subwoofer –had a transformer buzz so loud for over 2 years I could not use it because the buzz would drive you crazy. I could turn the subwoofer on with no input and still get a buzz. They told me they really are not setup for subwoofers because of not being able to get schematics and parts sometimes but were willing to look at. I received the call this time telling me subwoofer was working fine and there was not cost. When I went to pick it up it sounded great and the problem was fixed apparently in them taking it apart to test the components and putting back together must have cleaned or tighten some electrical connections. I told them I would like to at least pay for hour of their time because it did fix the issue and was told no since I was not given an estimate and no actual repairs were done there would be no cost. But they would appreciate a recommendation. Well as many companies are starting to even charge to give estimates, or act like they fix things when they did not, my experience with TV Tech Electronics has been fantastic and I do feel a little guilty on the subwoofer that they fixed and will not take any money for it so yes I can truly say they are honest people and would recommend them. I wish my experience with automotive shops being this honest was 1/100 of this experience. You truly have nothing to lose when they say FREE estimate they mean it. It has been 2 weeks and subwoofer is booming right along and did not cost a dime. How could you think of going any were else I wouldn’t. http://www.tvtechelectronics.com/About_Us.html

Excellent stereo repair service. Jim was very honest and professional and he had my stereo that I thought was broken for good fixed in a week or so. I would gladly use them again.

There's nothing I can't do, from fixing TVs to doing lawn work, to painting, plus designing your bedroom. I also do crafts and dollhouses. Plus, most of all, I love to take kids fishing and exploring the wildlife, catching crawdads out of the creek. Animals are another thing I love. I think it's great to take your dog out in the wildlife and let them explore. No job is too small, I will get it done.

Here at Communi-Con were not just another store with some guy that knows some stuff. Everyone here is laid back, presentable, and most of all customer oriented. I find that a lot of people are surprised by the difference in stores and their service. Here you're not just a customer, you're our way of life, and we understand that. I like lifting the weight and frustration from electronics off of peoples shoulders. There is a satisfaction for us when our customers are happy.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What should you do with a broken LCD TV?

Nationally, the average price range for TV repair is $60-$90. LCD TV repairs are one of the most common TV repair requests. A liquid crystal display (LCD) TV uses the same technology as your smartphone and most computer screens. Images are created on an LCD screen by electric currents that pass or block light through liquid crystals that are encased between two polarized, glass-like sheets. LCD TVs can be very thin and are relatively affordable, making them one of the most prevalent types of TV on the market. If you have a broken LCD TV, it can probably be repaired. Common problems that can be repaired include a blank screen, sound issues, power problems and digital connection problems. Here is one example of LCD TV repair cost:

  • 55-inch Samsung LCD TV repair: $150, including parts and labor
    • The LCD was intermittently powering up and powering off. The main circuit board was removed and replaced.

Can you fix a flat screen TV?

Yes, you can usually fix a flat screen TV. Whether you have a plasma, LED, OLED, HDR, HD or even LCD, TV repair pros can repair your TV. Flat screen TVs are expensive, and when they stop working it can make your heart stop. But TV repair technicians have advanced along with TV technology and are equipped with the proper tools and training for major and minor repairs. If your flat screen is too massive to transport, most repair companies have pickup and drop-off service. For the most common problems, TV repair pricing might range between $175 and $200 on average. Here are examples of the most common problems:

  • Power problems: The TV won’t turn on or will not stay on once started.
  • Digital problems: All connections are in place but you’re not receiving any signal.
  • Sound problems: There is no sound, the volume doesn’t respond to attempts to raise or lower it, or the volume is inconsistent.
  • Screen problems: The TV is on but there is no picture.

How much does it cost to repair a TV?

If your TV isn’t working, don’t despair. TV repair professionals can handle almost any situation, no matter how new or outdated your TV’s technology. The national average TV repair cost is $50-$90, although prices can be higher based on the type of TV and the work required. Because most TVs today are much too large to transport in an ordinary car, many companies provide transportation services for an added fee. Here are some examples of average TV repair costs for specific problems and TV models:

  • 65-inch Sony DLP TV repair cost: $275, including parts and labor.
    • Removed old light engine and bulb and installed new.
  • 42-inch Sanyo Plasma TV repair cost: $200, including parts and labor.
    • Multiple circuit boards had gone bad in the TV. Technicians installed a new Y-SUS sustain buffer board and an X main board.
  • 55-inch Samsung LCD TV repair cost: $150, including parts and labor.
    • The LCD was intermittently powering up and powering off. Replacing the main circuit board solved the problem.
