Hello, my name is Don and I have been in the Glass business for over 15 yrs. and specialise in custom glass/mirror install, Doors and hardware, window repair/replacement, glass shower enclosures, and commercial aluminum doors, storefronts, and curtain walls. I also have experience with wiring automatic doors and most any electrical maintenance including plugs and fixtures. I have worked on many large buildings around the KC metro area and I am currently employed with a commercial glazing company but just looking to make some extra cash on the side. The good: Don went out of his way to work with my budget, and was able to get started quickly. He is very friendly and easy to talk with. He even made a trip out of town to pick up a uniquely sized window for me, so I wouldn't have to wait. The not so good: I felt the job was not complete. After windows were installed, I was told that it would be my responsibility to trim out the windows. I thought that at least covering the gaps that had expanding foam would be included for all windows. He did put up the existing trim on 2 windows and completely caulk them, but I was left to install trim on 6 others. I would suggest in the future that he clarifies trimwork is not included.

Don seems like a good guy trying to get his own thing going, but he really let me down after it seemed like it was going to go so well. I had an existing screened in porch that uses a spline system, and the spline simply never held well. I had it repaired multiple times, and this time around I specifically said I wanted the EZ Screen system, which is splineless. Don came out and took a look, but decided it would be best to go ahead and stick with the spline system, but do the following: * Use Thicker Spline * Put wood trim over the top of the spline to help hold it in place. After pushing back a bit because the spline simply doesn't work, I decided to take Don's word that he could make it right. He also said he would provide a 1 year warranty should anything go wrong, and that 1 year would reset from the day he has to come fix things. Okay, great! Well, less than a week later, one of the pieces had come free again. Don comes back, but this time he sends a secondary helper to repair the job. This person did a HORRIBLE job. There was glue running down all over the screens...it looked like icicles. He also didn't glue all the way to top..I guess he didn't have a ladder and just decided he didn't care. I sent Don this video (https://youtu.be/AoATve2eqVw) and he was very apologetic and agreed that it was very sloppy work, so they'd come back to fix it. He sent the same guy to fix it again with the following plan in place: * Remove all the screens and stretch them again so they're well fit. * Add the thicker spline to all pieces. * Add glue on top of the spline. * Add the wood trim back. * Add glue on the wood trim as well. This time, I can see that not all pieces were redone, and there wasn't any glue on the wood trim at all. They just skipped entirely. Also, when this all started I paid for "Pet Screen" which is special for cats so they can't scratch through it. After they came back to repair things, I see that they replaced it with cheap, "regular" screen that is not nearly the same price as what I originally paid for...which is now ruined and replaced with something cheaper. Sure enough, just about a week later, the pieces came popping free again. I sent Don another message and he said he would come to fix it. He didn't show up the day he said, so I sent him another message. He promised to be there the next day, but it rained. Now it's been a week since then, and I've sent him a message every day, but he isn't replying at all. Just completely ignoring me now. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable. Now I have a screened in porch with pieces falling out, cheaper screen than I paid for, and broken promises about warranty and repair.
