Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: My wall art is different from others because i use a lot of metallic glazes along with traditional strippling techniques and then i can add an accent to this background making the finish more contemporary. I work with the metallic glazes very well and they can be difficult to manage while layering in order to get the depth and impact that you want. I enjoy the creative process and i enjoy it even more when it is a collaborative effort with the client. I think our homes and businesses need to be an extension of ourselves and this is achievable with paint and imagination. I also enjoy a challenge when faced with things like a small budget or having to use a certain color palette. I really like when a client is happy, even happier than they thought they would be. This process can sometimes takes them out of their traditional comfort zone and yet if they can find it in themselves some freedom of expression they are ecstatic with the results. Your home environment is a physical extension of yourself -- make it a beautiful one.

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

My most common jobs are small, such as bathrooms. I have so many most people have thought that was all i did. I do rooms of all sizes and all types. Powder rooms tend to be very common because that is where most folks are willing to test the waters with a decorative finish and who doesn't want a great powder room with a big impact? I also do a good deal of trim painting, this an ideal way to update your home, it can take a drab and dreary home to wow and bright -- all with newly painted trim in something like a high gloss brilliant white.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Know what look you are going for and sit with some design books, interior decorating magazines, even take a pic if you see something you like while out somewhere. The more the artist has to go on the more likely you will be very happy. And understand that many of these techniques may involve a great deal of layering of glazes, this can be tricky in the humidity we cope with here in the ozarks. Be prepared for your vision to come through the artist's hands. Then relax and enjoy it.
