Hired on Thumbtack

I would highly recommend Diamond Boy Movers , They are prompt on time and very professional. They did an excellent job and handled our furniture and boxes with care. They worked me in on a holiday , Where most businesses are closed , and most would of not answered or have me the ER really appreciate it. They stride in making their customers happy. I would recommend

Hired on Thumbtack

Communication was prompt and easy, but the service itself was disappointing. I think this lay with who my movers were--the owner's brother and an older gentleman. I've hired movers before--in fact to load my pod that I hired these movers to unload. Usually the movers I hire are big guys who use moving people's stuff as a workout. These guys were small and the older gentlemen tired quite quickly which slowed them down. It took 2 hours to load my pod--and it was quite a feat of Tetris. It took this crew nearly 2x as long to unload. That was a surprise--unloading is easier. Also, the older guy kept commenting on the younger guy's great strength in lifting....and then they'd leave furniture not positioned right on the wall. They'd leave and I would lift it and move it. Honestly, I wasn't impressed. I'm a one-handed girl--with apparent great strength. They carried in a box or two at a time.... If they'd used any tool they could have gone much faster. I expected them to do what I can't. They hand carried everything--they didn't show up with any supplies. There were no dollies or carts nor did they put anything down on my floors. They didn't even have straps that a lot of movers use to help hand carry large or awkward pieces. So I think that and the fact they took frequent breaks for the older gentleman all resulted in my very long unloading. Also, the old gentleman either couldn't or wouldn't read. Every box had a room sticker or written room name. bHe would dump stuff anywhere unless I caught him and told him where to put stuff. He dropped my boxes on their side, on top of other boxes marked fragile, etc. You could just tell he was overwhelmed. They also drank a power drink by the pod, and left the crushed can by the pod when they left. It was clear it was crushed and kicked. Trashing our world really disappointed me. It was pretty clear I got the B crew, and even the owners brother said he was just helping his brother out. If you get the A crew, I'm sure it will go much better. Unfortunately I was caught with little notice to get movers so I had what I had.
