Do you have a standard pricing system for your service? If so, please share the details here.
I like to talk with a potential client first to see their particular needs. This helps me understand how or if I can do their project, and how to price it to meet their budget
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I didn't really decide. I knew someone locally who needed some video work done and she knew that I had produced films previously.
What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common types of jobs I run into are creating online videos for business to use on social networking sites and DVDs of events
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
A local trucking company approached me to manage and edit some videos to be uploaded on Youtube. I created them a channel and offered them an affordable package of videos. From then on I filmed and produced multiple videos that have grown their business without even using TV ads!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look at a provider's previous work to see what they are capable of in shaping your project. If they have film reels put together that a potential client can see, view them and then give them a call.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Media Consulting and Video Production is an art form, and a trade that demands creativity and decent compensation. If you want a beautiful house built to your preference, you pay a tradesman the going rate. I am interested in great ideas and creativity, and that's part of what goes into my estimates to a customer and my craft.
