- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Prices vary depending on traveling cost and lesson duration but I’m very flexible. I don’t turn away any students for financial reasons that want to learn.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First lesson I like to get an idea of what a student’s goals are, what kinds of music they are interested in playing, and some of the ways in which they learn best. Then we create a game plan and get started!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
While I have studied guitar for most of life and went to school for classical guitar performance, music for me has been an ongoing education. I'm always learning new things from friends that play or other musicians I meet busking and at shows. On top of that I'm constantly diving into new and old music that I'm introduced to and broadening my influences. Understanding more and more about where music comes from helps us understand culture, creativity, and human struggle; three things that connect us all. This inspires me to keep listening and to continue learning.
