FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge per 24 hours. If you are more than 4 hours late then I will charge for another 1/2 day. If you are more than 12 hours late, then I charge for another day. Usually, my clients tell me I can leave at a certain time and that avoids any other charges. My long time clients leave my money upfront because I have been with them for a long time and they know I will be there as long as I am supposed to be.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I do not expect to be paid "upfront". That is your choice and if it works out better for you on the time that you will be returning home. I KNOW how hard it is to find someone to stay in your home that you can trust, not only with taking care of your pets but also with your home! You can be certain that I am an honest person and you would not have to "hide" your prized possessions. If I forgot something of my own, that I might need.... I will call you and ask if you have it. I furnish my own food and drink, bring my own coffee pot and bed linen. I put my own sheet /blanket on top of your bedding, therefore, there is no need to change your sheets for me.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I had a 3 pound Yorkie and he died in 2009. It absolutely killed me when he died and I swore I would never get another dog. After about 6 months I just could not fill the empty void in my heart and felt I should pet sit for other doggies/cats and give them the love that I had in my heart to share.
