Sandra is a role model for women of all ages, and she teaches them how to build healthy self-esteem through the practice of self-love and self-acceptance. She is a patient advocate for womens health issues and has been ever since the age of 25 when she was diagnosed with the autoimmune disease, Alopecia Areata. She made history when she was crowned 2011 Mrs. Black North Carolina, the first bald beauty queen of the state. In her life changing book, My Crown and Glory, Its Not About the Hair, she shares her personal life lessons and six principles she used to shift her life from being a victim to living in victory.
