Introduction: I work with all shapes/sizes of dogs, and am very familiar with the special needs of rescue dogs. I've owned, fostered, and trained rescue dogs for multiple organizations. All dogs, no matter how old or whatever their previous situation can learn new things and adapt to new situations. I believe in leadership training which doesn't rely on buying good behavior with treats or forcing it through a shock collar and pain. Most people already have the skills they need, and only have to be shown how to apply them in a way their dog understands. I love helping dogs stay in their homes and achieve better relationships with their humans. Training dogs doesn't have to be all hard work. It can also be a lot of fun. Showing people how to have fun while making progress to their training goals is very rewarding.

Dog Training

She wanted to know what was important to me to start with training and brought all her own supplies and treats for the dog, even though they didn’t agree with him. She was masked and very careful and respectful of my home. She had me practice the training techniques after she demonstrated them.

We loved our experience with Imagine Dog Training. She tailored her advice to perfectly address our circumstances and included the whole family. We’ve been able to implement everything we learned right away and will definitely use her services again!

Dog Training

We really enjoyed the first session with Paula. She shared informed insights, and was able to demonstrate progress in our dog's behavior within one session. As long as you can handle straight talk about how you handle your dog, I definitely recommend her!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    $120/session for private consultations

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I usually discuss the issues over the phone with the client so I can ascertain the best way to address them. Then a time is scheduled to meet wherever the dog is having issues whether that is at home, the dog park, etc. I recommend most people start with a private lesson to see if that will solve the issues. If it does not, then we can discuss other ways to improve the pet's behavior.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I've worked with hundreds of dogs, multiple rescue organizations, and several training companies. I'm trained in pet CPR, and have taught group classes. I find there is something new to learn every day. My goal is to take at least one new class every year to learn a new skill or technique.
