Introduction: I've been a music teacher, as well as performer, for over 20 years, and love to bring the gift of music to anyone who would like to learn. I teach guitar, violin, mandolin, electric bass, ukulele, and music theory to ages 8 and up. Many styles such as Jazz, Old Time, Bluegrass, Irish, Classical, Rock, Blues, Folk... I will start by saying we drive 45 minutes one way to get to class. My husband is now coming with me and we spent two hours with Gabriel once a month. We have had music teachers before and they were just fine but, Gabriel is an exceptional person, musician and an exceptional teacher/coach. He is excited about music and teaching his craft. We discuss the profession, the business end of music and so much more. He is helping make a promo video, as well as explaining how to use equipment. And by the way, Gabriel has played his guitar for us a few times at the end of class, and it is absolutely inspiring! I would consider myself a beginner intermediate, and Gabriel allows me to see that I can advance. My husband feels the same way. I have seen Gabriel with all ages, I am 65 and my husband is 69. At the end of the year recital, he played an alongside students who weren’t so excited about playing. Musician, and an exceptional teacher/coach. He is excited about music and teaching his craft. And by the way, Gabriel has played his guitar for us a few times at the end of class and it is absolutely inspiring! When looking for a teacher I found multiple violin instructors in my area, but friends told me about Gabriel Pelli. It takes me an hour to get to his studio, and it is well worth the ride. He is passionate about music and patient as a teacher. Every lesson is enjoyable, and I highly recommend him.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rate is $70 per hour, or pro-rated to the length of your lesson. 1 hour = $70 45 minutes = $52.50 30 minutes = $35 If I have to cancel a lesson at any time, you do not pay for the lesson. If you have to cancel a lesson with less than a week's notice, you pay for the lesson. With longer notice, you do not pay.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to communicate through email first, then a short telephone call, then meeting in person or for online lessons. Throughout the process, we are seeing if we'll be a good match, as that is of upmost for learning music. I'd like to know your musical interests, your goals for lessons, your musical history, etc. Once we find that we are compatible, we'll start lessons!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started playing the violin at age 5, adding guitar at age 11. I've studied for many years with many teachers, and have been to many music camps. But most of my musical knowledge comes from being a professional musician for over 20 years. I've played thousands of shows all over the world, have recorded many albums, scored films, written music for theater, and have taught hundreds of students.
