Introduction

Adjoa Courtney, known professionally as “Chef Joya,” has a passion for turning basic recipes into exquisite delicacies— a talent that has changed her life. Following the plant-based foundation of the food she grew up on, Joya began to “veganize” traditional recipes that typically contained animal products, which has since turned into her specialty. She wants her food to remind others who are transitioning to veganism, of the meals they enjoyed before they became vegan. As Chef Joya experimented with different cultural flavors such as Soul Food, African, Afro-Caribbean, and French, her recipes expanded to include cuisines from across the globe. It is my pleasure to create an atmosphere of ease and honor with every dining experience. You will enjoy an exquisite plated meal and your chef and servers will ensure your every need is met.

I am SO glad I chose to hire Joya to be the private chef at my event. She cooked 5 meals for us + snacks all vegan. Not everyone at the event was vegan but everyone found ALL the meals delicious which was amazing. She was one time and on schedule for everything, so sweet, put a lot of love into her food/work and I truly hope to work with her again in the future. If you are thinking about hiring Joya definitely do it! You will not regret it.

Cost efficient, perfect amount of food for the prixe you pay. All the guests were so impressed, I will definitely be using Joya again soon :)

Very professional! She made food for my bridal shower and all my girls there loved it! Food taste fresh, very tasty but not too heavy on your stomach and just amazingly delicious!
