Neighborhood Computer Repair Service

Nelcy was a very sweet and kind lady.I did come out to look at her laptop.She did inform me that she was having problems connecting to her WiFi since she downloaded windows 10. I have had customers with issues after downloading windows 10 in the past. I suggested to her to try installing win 10 from the disk that may solve the problem. She stated to me that she needed her computer immediately due to her school.I let her know that i would move her job up first in line and get on it right away as soon as I get back home. I Saved all her files documents pictures etc then wipe her hard drive clean then re-installed win 10, office 10, Avast Premier (2016 -anti-virus) then I transferred her documents etc back onto her laptop. While at my place the WiFi worked find no problem. I took her laptop back to her set it up and showed her a few things to do to keep her computer running good. it worked fine never disconnected while I was there. She paid me then I left letting her know if she needed anything to let me know. Letter on that evening she calls me to tell me the WiFi was was not working again. I told her that I couldn't come right then cause I had a job to go to that I would get to her when I could. I then call the customer i was going to to ask them If I could reschedule the appt. They were very understanding and said that would be fine. I then call Nelcy back and told her that i would be there in a few minutes. When I got there she explain that it was doing the same thing and that she wanted Windows 7 reinstalled. I honored her request. I saved all her documents, pictures, downloads etc and wipe her hard drive clean and installed windows 7 Pro, office 10, Avast etc. After I reinstalled everything and the laptop was backup and working I tested it to make sure it was working good. I did notice that on one occasion the WiFi went out then came back on. So i suggested that it may be an issue with her WiFi card. I had one with me that i was going to sell to her for $20. she then began to complain that she had already paid me so instead of getting into a debate I gave it to her. As soon as i install the WiFi it worked fine all the while i was there. I also informed her that her laptop was an hp dv6 which have been known for having motherboard issues. So She may have a motherboard problem if the issue persist. I also wanted to test the router but she did not want me to touch the router due to it may mess up her husband's computer then he would be mad. So I was limited in the trouble shooting that I could do.I even told her that if she wanted I would reinstall the operating system again. She said she needed to do her work and didn't want me to do that. So In conclusion, Keep in mind all of this was done within a 24 hr period. Because Mrs Nelcy stressed that she needed her computer back quickly. Usually I would need ample time to trouble shoot and trace down the source of the problem. I bent over backwards to satisfy Mrs Nelcy. I only charged her $110 for all the programs I installed and for all that I did. Customer service is my #1 goal, but it seems that my best wasn't good enough. James (Computer-Guy)
