Company Owner Eric Tavares is a mix DJ, radio talent, audio engineer, and producer who has worked with such music industry notables as Toni Braxton, Usher, Outkast and Brian McKnight, among others. That's why we're always trying to set the standard.

Ultimately, we bring to you a highly experienced professional DJ service, ranging from celebrity club events and corporate parties to proms, sweet 16s and high-energy dance events.

Now that we have added legendary MTV and Audio Junkeez DJ Legacy to our elite roster of celebrity DJs, we simply had to take it a step further by signing the nation's #1 video DJ (DJ Girl 6) and iconic DJ/producer (Dave London).

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. I recommend that you be very specific as to what kind of service your looking to hire, and find out what level of professionalism they are known for. By all means, research the dj and/or company, and try to get referrals whether good or bad.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. How much time and effort exactly goes into making sure that your clients event is a success. Many people are truly unaware of setup and breakdown time, in addition to entertaining a usually wide variety of guests, with different musical tastes depending on the event. Being aware of how much time, money, effort and practice is put into becoming a superb dj...is usually under estimated. If clients were aware of this kind of information, more times than not they would have a better perspective and a healthier respect in reference to what we bring to the table. Then money wouldn't always be an object.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. I would strongly advise clients to first and foremost, find out how long any particular dj or company has been in-service. You cannot buy experience, and every single time I perform at a different kind of event...I learn something new. Find out if the company charges (extra) for gas, mileage, setup & tear down as well as lighting. Some companies will add (hidden) charges just to make a pretty penny off of their unsuspecting clients. Please be aware of that, it goes on more times than not.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Perspective patrons should have all the intricate details concerning their event mapped out, if at all possible before making a single call to any company. The more information we are given as to the particulars, the easier it is for us to the deliver a quality service to our clientele.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. l've been blessed to know that this is what I wanted to do as a professional career since I was in 5th grade, and was taken on a field trip to a local radio station to see their morning show. From that day on, it has become a passion of mine to carve out a career involving music. With my service, we *design music for our clients. This involves having at least one face to face consultation, really listening to what your musical needs are...then delivering them in a seamless mix. We don't play one song after another, we simply create a danceclub type of environment, and as a radio personality who has hired an experience team of staff members, we all know how to clearly deliver important announcements during your event. This is what I think a professional DJ service should represent.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love the fact that I get to work around all types and genres of music, meet very interesting people and have a ton of fun all at the same time. Music is a recession-proof industry simpy because patrons are always going to need sound for some type of event. Having the ability to get truly creative in the way you deliver a mix of music, creating atmosphere with lighting and sharing in client's celebrations, is like giving Michael Jordan a basketball and asking him to do something with it. I truly love what I do professionally, and now it's a successful career.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Most clients want to know how long you've been in this actual business and what our hourly rates are. More times than not, they want to make sure you have references and know what the word punctuality actually means. I make sure to rest their minds at ease, by illustrating that this is what I do for a living, and have made a fruitful career out of it. Estimating time, distance, and setup are things we pay very close attention to ensuring the client that we are not in the business to disappoint.
