My family and I had a local move that we hired Hornet Moving for. We were moving from a two bedroom, two story house to a three bedroom, one story house that was about 20 minutes away. I got quotes from at least a dozen companies within a 30 mile radius, and Hornet Moving was by far the cheapest. They don’t charge a trip fee within Charlotte. I was in Landis and moved to Salisbury so they charged a $50 fee. Everywhere else was charging between $200-$300 plus an hourly rate! We scheduled online through Thumbtack and Ryan was very responsive and answered my questions. We hired 3 guys to move our stuff, and they were scheduled to arrive at 1pm. They called me about 45 mins prior to let me know they were on the way, and arrived right at 1pm. We expected the move to take around 4-5 hours, and some companies had tried to quote us up to 8 hours. These guys got everything done in 3 hours and 15 minutes!! They worked hard and fast, and got everything loaded up and moved with no issues. They made sure all of our furniture and possessions were taken care of, and they wrapped everything with blankets. At the new house we had hardwood floors, and they took the time to let me put pads under all the furniture to prevent scratching. We were highly impressed with the service we received from Brandon, Landon, and Triel. They made our move a very pleasant experience, and I would recommend them to anyone needing a great moving company!

These guys are amazing! Chris, Denzel and Dan were fantastox! They were so great and patient, as they dealt with all of my stuff! Definitely wasn't an easy move, as I've accumulated quite a bit of stuff over the years and 14 moves before. These guys were hands down, the best quality and price in town! Would highly recommend!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    26 Foot Moving Truck + 2 Clean-Cut Movers = $180/HR (with a 2-hour minimum Monday-Thursday) and (a 3-hour minimum Friday-Sunday) **Add an additional mover = $50/HR **Add an additional truck = $70/hr **We start/stop the clock at your home and charge by the minute - no rounding up! There is also a $30 travel fee(per truck) within the city limits of Charlotte. Any location without a Charlotte zipcode or 21 miles or further from our office incurs $1.50 per mile per truck.

    5 years of experience in the moving industry, Bachelor's in Business, Master's in Engineering Management.
