FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I am continuously engaged in online training courses to help me stay up on the latest things going on in the fitness and nutrition world. I also have a few select mentors I follow to ensure I'm applying some of the most helpful techniques or ideas in my own practice. I love to learn new things and am intrigued by medical research as well.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I decided to get in to health coaching/personal training after being diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder. It took me a few years to do but I eventually put it in to remission via nutrition and fitness. The research I did on autoimmune disorders showed me that these conditions are becoming an epidemic and I want to be a change agent to help other people realize that if given the right tools, the body can heal itself.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
In general the most common jobs I do are related to getting people back on track with their full body wellness programs. A few of them have chronic health conditions - I teach them how to use different nutritional choices to help alleviate various symptoms etc. I'm also very involved in supporting middle aged women who are having difficulty managing their weight due to hormone issues etc.
