Musical Lessons With Raf

Self-taught pianist with 6+ years of educational experience and 10+ years of classical woodwind training. Currently based in NC, close to Charlotte. Taught beginner → intermediate students in classical technique, songwriting, ear training, performance prep, and creative composition // I’ve been playing piano for over two decades, teaching myself since I was a child while also performing and competing on classical woodwinds (oboe, clarinet, sax). Today, I write and record music that blends classical structure, unusual time signatures, popular music, and world-music sounds, so I can teach both the discipline of classical technique and the curiosity of creative composition. I have experience working with students of various ages and backgrounds who want to learn the foundations (posture, reading, rhythm) and then use them as tools for songwriting, improvisation, and performance. Lessons are patient, practical, and playful — built to help you develop confident technique, aural skills, and your own musical voice.
