FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The audiovisual and technology fields are covered by several governing or credentialing bodies. The two primary bodies are InfoComm International (Commercial A/V/Automation, www.infocomm.org ), and CEDIA (Residential A/V/Automation, www.CEDIA.org). We hold advanced certifications with each (CTS, EST-II) that require us to undertake a goodly amount of continuing education and manufacturer-specific training & courses to maintain, so you can rest assured that we're up to date on the latest and greatest technologies out there!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Structured wiring, Closed Circuit Observation Systems (Both IP and Analog), Small-to-medium-venue audio systems, WiFi and network design, MATV/SMATV/other RF Head End distribution systems, Video TeleConferencing (VTC) & Audio Teleconferencing systems (ATC), Home & Commercial Media Systems Automation, In-Building Cellular Booster Systems, long-range data/media backhaul (>10km links possible, 150Mbps-1.4Gbps bandwidths).
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Especially when talking about integration and home automation projects: Talk to several potential candidates for your particular project, ask them lots of questions about how they plan to, for instance, hide or obfuscate unsightly wires or equipment. A true professional will be working these things out during a walk-through of your project and not after they've delivered a quote!
