On September 21, 2013, Reverend Stephanie Sebero performed our wedding ceremony and, without a doubt, she exceeded our expectations and made our wedding an absolutely memorable occasion! She was easy to work with, worked closely with us to craft the perfect ceremony that fit our personalities, and delivered that ceremony in a way that was fun and laidback, yet respectful and sentimental. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone without any hesitation! Finding a minister was a terribly daunting task for my husband and me. Both of us consider ourselves Christian, but I have been more on the agnostic scale for many years and did not want an overly Christian ceremony. My husband’s family, however, are very religious and early on in the process we knew it would be hard to find an officiant that met our needs of having a low-key Christian wedding that focused more on who we are, rather than spiritual matters… but was Christian enough for our family. Over months of searching, we contacted countless officiants: everything from ministers with actual churches to secular internet-ordained officiants. And we met with no fewer than five of these before realizing that Stephanie met our needs perfectly. From our first meeting, I felt extremely comfortable with Stephanie. We explained what we wanted in a wedding and she crafted a beautifully sentimental ceremony that was traditional, but relaxed. However, a little over a month before the wedding date, my fiancé and I changed our minds and decided to throw traditions out the window. I rewrote large portions of the ceremony (especially the vows) to make it geeky, highly personalized, and witty. I was afraid Stephanie would be offended that I rewrote most of the ceremony that she undoubtedly spent a lot of time on. However, to my surprise, she loved the humor and was excited that we made it so personal! She also offered up other suggestions that fit the mood of the ceremony perfectly and she worked closely with us (over email and several in-person meetings) to iron out the last minute details. Despite our venue being a little far away, Stephanie didn’t even hesitate to come to our rehearsal. She also arrived with time to spare to both the rehearsal and wedding. The ceremony went perfectly and with us being two bundles of nerves, her relaxed delivery and demeanor helped reduce our stress levels and keep us on track… even when we’re putting rings on the wrong fingers! As for price… (yes, I was worried about it too when I was searching… don’t be ashamed! LOL!) her prices were actually extremely affordable compared to the others we interviewed. But considering all the time and attention she gave us, she certainly didn’t skimp us on service! During the months after the wedding, we have had countless people enthusiastically tell us that our wedding was truly the best one they have ever been too. And we know that the ceremony had a large hand in that, because its fun atmosphere set the mood for the rest of the night. We just loved the fact that Stephanie didn’t even mind that we included a reading from a children’s book (which we asked her to do “story time” style) and she did a phenomenal job quoting the priest in “The Princess Bride” with the same Elmer Fudd-like speech impediment! However, even though our ceremony ended up being a bit silly, I know that Reverend Stephanie would have done an equally fantastic job with the traditional ceremony she originally wrote for us. Whether your ceremony needs are religious, inter-religious, quasi-religious, secular, non-traditional, sentimental, or lighthearted… I would whole-heartedly recommend her because she is so flexible and easy to work with, as well as being a wonderful, kind, open-minded and awesome person. We are so thankful to have discovered her!

Rev. Stephanie Sebero was extremely accommodating. I cannot believe how much she was able to tailor a non-religious ceremony to us just from a questionnaire. I talked to her once over the phone and the rest was messages through thumbtack 2 weeks before our intended wedding date. IT WAS PERFECT!!! we had many faiths in attendance and it was important to respect them all, she accomplished this and more. She included our love of nature and our desire to live in the woods, and even my love of Dr. Suess quotes.I can't even begin to thank her enough. Not only that, we had a lost bag and a broken down car, which required last minute shopping. I texted her begging her forgiveness and that we would need to push it back by a half hour, which we were a few minutes past in the end, she replied simply "it's YOUR day, no worries" What a great person, so kind and empathetic, thank you Rev. Stephanie, our family loves you!!
