FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do have relatively standard pricing for refinishing and custom furniture, but each project is generally a little different. Thus requiring some consideration in the price of the project.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I first determine the general scope of work being requested. If needed, I will schedule a free in-home visit to gather and/or discuss detailed information. An estimate will be provided for restoration or repair work. A drawing and quotation will be provided for custom built items. My typical turnaround time is 2-4 weeks after receipt of order / furniture plus a 50% deposit. Pickup and delivery is free unless I need a second helper. A small fee is required to cover that cost.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have learned and developed my woodworking skills through years of hands-on practice. I was given my first power tool at the age of 10. I learned the art of finishing from Richard Cox; a master of woodworking and finishing with 50+ years of experience. I have further enhanced my skills by observing my very skilled employees. Each has had one or more areas in which they excel.
