FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
With custom furniture and built-ins almost nothing is standard. Cost depends on design intricacy, site condition, material quality, size, etc. On site labor ballpark is $75/hr.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We meet and discuss what the client wants (on site if helpful). I provide input on design, costs, and options. Based on our discussion I work up design ideas, and estimates - including sketches and photos - and present them to the client. The client can then decide if, and how, to proceed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Surprisingly I completed a molecular biology B.S. at a university and worked in research labs for years before I became a Woodworker/Furniture Designer/Artist. I am a self-taught, constantly learning and improving my skills and have been doing this full-time since 2009.
