Chris was great. Arrived on time and finished assembling my king size bed in no time. My bed was pretty big with a huge back hoard and he was able to manage. He also cleaned up everything. Thanks Chris!

My experience with Cara and E&C final touch was amazing. They were professional, on time , and very respectful towards me and my house. Along with the free estimate the price was very reasonable. The team replaced an old and broken down, made it look brand new. I really didn't have time to paint my walls or do any minor jobs around my house, because of my work hours. Cara and her team came in into my house and made it a home again! So if your looking for a company that does a great job and goes above and beyond than call E & C final touch!

Oscar and Karla were very quick to respond and stayed in touch with me prior to the cleaning. They were very thorough, explained what they planned to do and what they ended up doing. Oscar also took pictures of the gutters before and after to help me see.

Everything was great, my project was completed in a timely manner, constructed well, and no mess was left behind. Charles did some deck and stair repairs, built two built-in benches, along with painting and staining my newly renovated decks. He is very professional, knew what he was doing, and could also work on the fly to go with my envisioned ideas to turn out a great project! I would definitely recommend Charles for any of your projects around the house. I plan to use him again for some electrical and cabinetry work.

Brent went above and beyond the original project, he did more than just paint with repairs and painted parts that I didn’t expect. His quality of work is excellent and I have hired him for more small time repairs because of the result of his work. Thanks Brent appreciate it a huge relief.

Mrs. Latrice was on time and she did an exceptional job!! I was cleaning to prepare for an inspection of my apartment after having some relatives move out. She quoted me a more than fair price and her work was well worth it. She worked magic in my apartment and she is very professional. She was also very pleasant and easy to talk to as well, she exceeded all of my expectations and I will use her for all my residential cleaning needs in the future. I will also gladly recommend her to everyone I know. I am very pleased with the end results.

I hired John McCryndle of JFltzgerald Construction to paint the exterior of my home. I am extremely pleased with the completed project. Mr. McCryndle and his crew were mannerly and did an outstanding job. They were very detailed and made sure to clean up behind themselves. I would definitely hire him in the future and you should too.

I had a concrete floor installed in a large metal garage. the ground was very uneven. Nayser came out and leveled the ground and poured my pad. He did an excellent job. It is hard to find people that take pride in their work. If you are look for someone to do concrete work Neyser is the person for you. He does a good job and can be trusted. I am planning to get more work done.

We hired Steve to power wash and paint part of our house and stain a deck. Steve was easy to communicate with and quick to respond. He showed up to do the work when he said he would and completed in good time. He clearly takes pride in his work and our satisfaction with the job was a priority. I recommend Steve for power washing and painting services and will call him again when in need of these services.

I started off hiring John of Ark Construction to make metal awnings from the same metal as my roof and then it went on to repairing my deck, painting the trim on my house fixing my french door and closing in my carport. I and my Husband are extremely pleased with all the work that was done. John is very trustworthy and does not try to sell you stuff you don't need, he does a very good job and has a very nice personality. I would highly recommend him for any job he was hired to do.

Billy came in on a rental property renovation after I had fired two different people. From the very beginning he reassured me that he was going to do his best to fix all the mistakes that the last guys made and some. I had Billy repaint the entire home and had to remud a lot of spots in the house due to a bad drywall job from previous contractor. The final paint job was gorgeous with all imperfections pretty much gone! I was so happy and at ease that I finally found someone who was genuinely trying to help me and took pride in their work. Not one time did he ever get irritated with me when I kept having him fix things for me, he actually encouraged me to point out anything I wasn't pleased with. He also fixed horrible mitered cuts on trims and baseboards. All and all, Billy is now my go to guy for everything I need. I'm pleased with the end product and would definitely recommend Billy. P.S. this is coming from someone who's hard to please.

We were moving and needed every room painted in our house. Plus our deck and touch ups on the exterior. Our family room needed a new ceiling, as well, so Mr Ward applied textured paint to the ceiling, then repainted. It looked amazing when he was as finished. His craftsmanship is spot on, he’s professional and great to work with. He gave wonderful advice and his prices are very fair. I would highly recommend him!

Showed up on time as promised and did an excellent job of painting my living room. I can't believe what a difference new paint for ceilings walls and trim has made. I plan to have them back out soon to install hardwood floor. Best experience I've had with contractors in a long time.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much do painters cost?

The national average cost for an interior painter ranges between $450 and $900. Interior painters can tackle everything from complete color makeovers in each of your rooms to touching up an accent wall to painting pieces of furniture. The square footage and complexity of the project, along with the materials needed, are the main factors that will affect cost. Other factors include whether you supply the paint yourself or want the painter to do so, whether you move the furniture and do the prep work or ask them to do it, and whether any repair work is needed on the walls. Painting the ceiling and the trim will also have an effect on cost. The type of paint you choose can also raise or lower your house painting cost. A gallon of paint may range from $20 to over $100, depending on quality and brand. Ask your painter if they charge per hour or per square foot, and how much you can save by doing prep work (moving furniture, etc.) yourself.

How much does it cost to paint the interior of a house?

Interior house painting costs are calculated on a few key factors. Nationally, interior house painting projects range from $200 to $2,500. The wide price range indicates how much square footage, paint selection and labor can affect cost. One pro uses a laser to measure each room, subtracting the size of the doors and windows, and then bases the quote on the square footage of the actual surfaces to be painted. Painters may provide you with savings if you opt to paint your entire home rather than just having one room or an accent wall painted. For example, the average house painting cost for an 8x12 room with 8-foot ceilings is roughly $200, when contractor-grade paint is used. Painting ceilings, baseboards and frames can also affect cost. Pros may charge per linear foot to smooth and paint baseboards. In one area pros might charge 50 cents per linear foot to paint baseboards, while pros in another part of the country could charge $1.50 per linear foot for the same task. Painters may charge flat rates for painting door and window frames, with one charging $20-$25 and another $60 per door. Geography and regional costs to do business play a major role in the cost of interior painting. The same painter in a rural region has less to pay in taxes, transportation, insurance and overhead than they would in a major city like New York.

How much does a painter charge per room?

The cost to paint a room will vary based on the size of the room, the type of paint you select, any ceiling or trim work needed, and any repairs needed. If no repairs or other additional work is needed, painting a room with contractor-grade paint could range from $1 to $2 per square foot, including materials. Selecting a luxury paint (some cost more than $100 per gallon) will certainly increase your house painting costs. Here are some additional examples of average house painting costs, per room:

  • 12x12 room with a 9-foot ceiling: about $125
  • 12x12 room with an 8-foot ceiling: about $100
  • 14x16 master bedroom with a 9-foot ceiling: about $150
  • 14x16 master bedroom with an 8-foot ceiling: about $125
  • 16x16 living room with a 9-foot ceiling: about $175
  • 16x16 living room with a 20-foot ceiling: starting at $225
