Derrick and his wife took amazing care of my mother’s home as we got it ready for her to move from MN to NC. They were also punctual, responsive and just so kind and easy to communicate via text. I’m a little nitpicky, but they were so patient and accommodating. These guys go the extra mile so make sure their customers have a quality job! What I liked the most is that I had some paint colors picked and I painted swatches and hated them. Dereck suggested beautiful colors which were similar that turned out just perfectly! I’m so excited to see my mother’s reaction when she sees the place. Thank you, Straight Edge Paint!
I will definitely be hiring them again for my home that I’ve never gotten around to painting!

Dereck and his wife did a phenomenal job painting our home! They painted all of the interior walls, including 2 wooded accent walls, our front door, and our kitchen cabinets. They worked efficiently and did a beautiful job. We also added areas and changed requests mid-work and they graciously accommodated us. Our house looks brand new! We would highly recommend them to anyone in need of painting!!

Dereck just finished painting the exterior of our house and my wife and I couldn't be more pleased with the job he did! We feel like we just moved into a brand new home! Dereck was so easy to work with throughout the entire process. He was able to provide a quote for us right away and his price was extremely reasonable. He was very responsive and offered helpful advice in selecting the paint color. He was really thorough and double checked all of his work to ensure he didn't miss anything. You could tell he really takes pride in the work he does. We will eventually be painting the interior of our house and I won't even entertain the idea of hiring someone other than Dereck!

I really enjoyed having these two paint my home. They were always on time. Took very short lunches. They work and don't talk the day away. The job looks great. Getting your house painted can be stressful and invasive. It doesn't have to be that way if you hire great people. Give Straight Edge Paint a try. You'll be glad you did. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I give excellent discounts to military, law enforcement, teachers.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I would meet with them for an estimate. I would ask open ended questions to get a feel for what they were exactly wanting to accomplish. Then I'd give them my professional input on the colors, sheens, textures,etc that I thought would best fit their needs/wants. Finally they'd receive an extremely competitive estimate. After I received a returning call we would set up a time to complete the project and it would be done in a timely fashion. Correct. The first time!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was trained by the best. I also have a BS in business marketing from limestone college(1999)
