Great job on painting my place. The only thing is he over-estimated on paint so I have a lot left over
Bravo (Carlos) painted the complete interior of the condo (we emptied the work area of all furniture) and did an outstanding job covering the "eclectic" decor (really dark colors and the associated sloppy job) while fixing the holes in the walls and ceiling. Fred is great at advising what colors and finish should be used to get the best appearance. There were only a few things that had to be redone or fixed. Fred really tries to please and make things right. My only hesitation of the rating is that the crew left a lot of "overspray" both on the carpet (they finally came to fix it, albeit late for appointment) and the wood floors (just by chance, we had the floors restored). Advice is to watch the painting crew to ensure better covering of floors and furniture, since the majority of the work uses their paint spray equipment.
Great communication. Prompt response on our tight schedule. Work quality is top notch. Cleanup left a lot to be desired.
Ben Hamrick and his team did an outstanding job at our home. They did exterior work (4 sides brick) which included trim, front door, windows, replaced rotten wood on windows, etc, From pressure washing the house, walk and driveway, to the clean up, everything was done very professionally and in a timely manner. The week they were to start, the heat was almost unbearable and Ben thought that would delay things but it all worked out according to schedule. The crew was there by 7:00a.m. and worked consistently to finish. The most impressive thing was Ben and his team's attitude towards the work. Whatever additions were added, he obliged. His contract itemized everything in detail with nothing hidden. His quote won over 5 others. Not so much because of price (although reasonable and within range) but his personality had much to do with him getting the job. Would I recommend Ben Hamrick? Absolutely, without a doubt!
He was an absolute pleasure to work with...not only did Xia superbly do what he came to do, he fixed a faucet in the Master Bedroom which had been continuously backing up. I will definitely be using him for a lot of my future work!
Rob did an excellent job for us. We had no idea what we wanted. He made very good suggestions. We decided definitely to use him again for our landscaping.
Fine Finishes helped to improve upon some previous work from other contractors and painters that wasn't up to my expectations. Upon giving me an estimate for the initial work, the owner indicated he could begin immediately (and he did!). Having seen the quality of their initial work, I have since engaged this company for additional repair and painting. They've done a range of work for me now, all of which I'm very happy with. Their work ranged from interior wall, ceiling and trim painting, cabinet refinishing to exterior siding washing, replacement and painting. They were even able to repair and paint some minor wood damage on my windows as well as hang a new light fixture. The owner and his team put a lot of pride into their work, something I wish more of the contractors I'd worked with did. Highly recommended!
Ed i a great guy and a talented painter. He went above and beyond with the project at my home (painting walls and ceiling, plus popcorn ceiling removal). It was a mess and a lot of work, and I'm glad I had a professional I could trust to take care of it for me. He even helped me move some furniture before he left the job! Thanks again, Ed!
Dave always courteous and did his best to be mindful of our time. Knowledgeable in a lot of different areas. Did a little bit of everything and is very meticulous. Has a lot of tools to handle most tasks.
Gary and his assistant Antoine moved 2 rooms of carpeting for us. They were very friendly and professional. A lot of seaming had to be done and Gary took his time with that.
Hired them to do a large landscaping project on our back lot. They did an excellent job and were professional in every way. Would definitely hire them again
Did great work at a reasonable price. Another place gave me an estimate that was much higher and a lot more work. Lonnie figured out the problem and fixed it in 30 minutes.
There's nothing that I've found that can't be fixed/improved by Around the House! From replacing parts in a dishwasher, to planting window boxes, to masonry work on an outdoor fireplace, and many other jobs, everything was done quickly, and the pricing is very reasonable. He knows a lot about every device and structure and offers excellent suggestions and terrific execution of those suggestions!
We can't say enough great things about Jackson & his crew. The recently did a lot of interior painting & dry wall for us & the house looks amazing! Great communication, friendly & very timely. We have a vacation home & live out of state but he made it very easy to get everything set up, pick out colors ect. This work was to be done in between guests & it was completed with perfection & everything cleaned up after. Our home was taken care of in the process of all the work going on (floors covered, items moved ect). We have already asked for quotes on some other remodeling work that we are wanting done. We would recommend Jackson highly!!
Greg painted my large foyer area and ceiling, which both needed a lot of attention due to a roof leak and neglect from previous owners/renters. Communication was great throughout the process, as Greg was quick to answer questions and thorough in his explanations. He also recommended and gave advice on paint colors, types, and finishes. I initially planned to go with a solid neutral white throughout the house, but I ultimately decided on three shades of gray in the foyer (including a dark gray accent wall). I'm very happy with the color combination. There were a couple of significant miscommunications about the layout of the colors and what was to be included and what wasn't (i.e., trim painting), but we were able to settle and clear those up amicably. Pros: The ceiling looks great and Greg did not make a mess on any the fixtures, smoke alarms, etc. He was careful to tape everything, remove light switch and outlet plates, and use appropriate prep materials to hide/seal the previous leak. I'm extremely happy with the ceiling. There are also no significant paint splatters or issues with the paint getting onto things it shouldn't have, even with multiple colors next to each other. Cons: I wish I had known to clean the baseboards and walls (maybe with TSP) and then to spackle a couple of spots. I assumed those would be handled, but I didn't ask, which was my error. There are a couple of spots where spackle would've worked nicely, so I do wish there was a bit more prep work with sanding and filling. Secondly, there was an area of the house where the walls were in poorer condition, so there are visible lines that look almost like two slightly different colors (a few bands of slightly different colors). It wouldn't be as noticeable if it wasn't where the light comes in the front door area. Greg came out after the initial completion and attempted to touch up blend the area, but it could've likely just used another coat of paint on the entire wall rather than a blending because it's as noticeable (or even more noticeable) than before. I realize my walls were in very bad shape and low luster paint shows more imperfections, so it's a huge improvement and I'm happy with the results. I may later hire have another coat done to the foyer area later on just to perfect it. Just a few things to be mindful of in the future. Regardless, I plan to hire Greg again for other rooms, as my budget and reno plans permit. He did a great job overall. Thanks!
We hired Marco to help get a rental house we own ready to be sold, we were trying to get it on the market as soon as possible but it needed a lot of work. Since we are located in another state it was hard for us to know exactly what needed to be done, Marco went over to the house the day that I called him and took a ton of pictures to show us what condition the house was in and what needed to be done. He then gave us a very reasonable quote for the jobs we asked him to do, which included pressure washing the outside of the house, yard maintenance(front and back), fixing the garage door, replacing rotten floorboards, repainting doors, fixing weather stripping and vinyl siding on the house, repairing a broken window and much more. He was always very easy to get ahold of and kept in contact every step of the way. I even talked to his wife Maria when he was too busy to call himself. We were kind of pain in the butt customers, asking him to go back and do more after he did the initial jobs, but he always went back and finished them very quickly and for a very fair price. I absolutely recommend Marco, he was a pleasure to work with and made this whole process so much easier on us and less stressful.
Lishia's Transformations has done work for me personally and multiple jobs for the business which employs me based upon my recommendation. She is always on time, even coming late at night when some of the painting and remodeling needed to happen. She has an eye for color, space, texture, and design. We have also used her own mixed-media art pieces to really enhance the look we wanted in a particular room. She is a hard worker who rarely took a break so she could ensure your place is how you want it, without leaving a mess other 'professionals' had left us in the past. I always recommend her to anyone I know needing painting or small renovations done. She won't waste your time or money but her results look like she took a lot of both.
Jose was always on time and did a good job painting. My issues: He broke one of my blinds, and didn't inform me. He broke a vase and didn't inform me. Instead, he wanted to hang the curtains up I guess in order to cover it up. He threw the broken vase away in a bag he had in his van. He didn't say anything until I confronted him the next day. Only then did he offer to replace the blind, but I declined. He never offered to replace the vase. Accidents happen, just be honest and inform the customer about what happened. It's better than trying to cover it up. They cleaned up most of the paint, but there are some spots that were left on the floor that I had to clean.
Perfection!! I had dark spots on my carpet after the pretty women clean too work ,everything disappeared. Get your carpet shampooed!! They do a lot more such as floor waxing, window and house cleaning,etc...
I cannot say enough good things about Henry. We had an unforeseen issue with a water pipe being in an odd place and Henry was installing a rod and hit the line, but he spent hours upon hours fixing it and it looks amazing and the pipe is fixed. He never complained and stuck to every appointment and commitment that we had until it was done which were some really long days for him. I would trust this guy to install anything in your home. He will follow through and you have the peace of mind of knowing if something does go wrong he will not leave you holding the bag - he will fix it until it is right. Following through on your word and your workmanship goes a really long way in my book- not a lot of contractors would have taken responsibility and come back to help us fix the problem.
Residential Solutions has been my go to for home upgrades for the last several years. They have cut and frame my wall so I could see into the den from the kitchen. They have also built an amazing deck on the back of my house. In addition to that, they replaced my counter tops and backsplash in my kitchen. Recently they tiled my kitchen. Their work has always been excellent. I also trust them in my home and with my dogs which means a lot to me. I will never use anyone else. I already have their next job picked out as soon as I can arrange it. You'll never use anyone else again.
