Mr. Perez mounted a plasma tv to a bedroom wall for me. He and his time arrived 15 minutes ahead of our scheduled appointment. They all were very friendly, professional and courteous throughout the job. The job was completed in one hour. He respected our home and left the area very clean and neat when he finished. He and his crew went above and beyond the call when they moved the old tv cabinet from the bedroom to the basement at the start of the job. My husband will certainly use his services again. I also liked that he charged just what he quoted and did not increase at the end of the job. Mr. Perez should continue what he is doing because he does an outstanding job!

Scott just finished installing two floating desks and cabinets in our living room fireplace alcoves. It was a tricky project, requiring some Creative problem solving and attention to detail. Scott brought both- was great to work with, easy communication, and quick turn around time. Will definitely have him back for future projects.

Trim Time was amazing. They took our idea and sketch of a built in bookcase/media cabinet and not only delivered on our hopes but vastly improved it. The way they installed the bookcase even straightened out our wall. Beautiful, quick, easy and only slightly more expensive than a pre-fabricated or store bought equivalent.

1) Opened up wall between living room & family room, installed header for support. Case trim opening, repair drywall and paint. 2) I provided a photo of an open staircase that I wanted which opened up stairwell on both sides, framed opening with columns at the bottom. They included all demo, framing, LVL load bearing beams, drywall, painting, trim, decorative spindles, and custom stained handrail. 3) Frame closed my open foyer, drywall, sub-floor, redo ceiling, install light fixtures. Estimated timeline was met. Dan kept me well informed on progress. I received multiple estimates for this project. So happy I chose Dan Wagner with On-Target Construction. I Highly recommend.

My recommendation for Mark is without reservation and with enthusiasm. My experience with Mark's complete renovation of my kitchen was the best possible. From the beginning, Mark's patience, attention to detail, and craftsmanship impressed me. Mark knew the right people to recommend for things like electrical, plumbing, and flooring. Mark's cabinet work is evidence of a true artist. The counter installers praised his work and the appraiser for my home told me when my house is gone, the cabinets will remain standing. The work is beautiful and tasteful. Working with Mark was a pleasure and I look forward to future renovations with Mark. I would choose no one else. He is a master.

Blake Dawson is the ultimate perfectionist when it comes to blending old and new cabinets and he is an incredible problem solver. I had a client with a very complicated kitchen situation wherin we needed to re-use current components and bring in new cabinetry all while making it look consistent. Blake and his incredible team of craftsmen and electricians, paid close attention to every detail. The job was completed over several weeks, which was incredible considering the scope of work completed. The home owners were so impressed with his work that they have requested him to do another small job in the office. He was on time, on budget, and a joy to work with.

Drove from Salisbury to Hendersonville to repair and remodel two bathrooms. Completely tore out rotten wood floors replaced plywood. Took out old cabinets and sinks and installed new ones. Purchased items needed. Instructed homeowner on why to purchase certain items for longitivity. Installed lenolium in three bathrooms. He arrived early and worked continuously. The quality of his work was impeccable. Brent went above and beyond what was expected. Charges were inline with what others charge and maybe a little less. If Brent lived in Hendersonville I would use him for all repair and installation work. He is a man that can be trusted.

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

    Do you tip cabinet installers?

In general, home service providers such as electricians, plumbers and contractors are professionals who don’t expect tips. They expect to do a job for you for the specific price they quoted. Of course, they may appreciate a tip for a job particularly well done or for which they’ve gone beyond what’s normally expected, such as completing the project early or under budget. Even better than a tip, it’s always appropriate to leave a positive review online after a good experience.

    How much is custom cabinetry?

Custom cabinets can be built for any room, including bedroom closets and built-in armoires. Measured carefully and built precisely, custom cabinetry can increase storage and beautify any room. The national average for building custom cabinets ranges from $500 to $1,200 per linear foot. The cost is highly variable because there are so many styles, colors, glazes and other options. In general, the linear footage of the cabinets, the materials used to build them, and the cost of the labor will determine the cost. Solid wood costs more than plywood and wood veneer, and costs vary among different types of wood; maple and cherry cabinets are more expensive than pine. Glass-front cabinets can cost more, as can decorative hinges, handles and door pulls, which can cost $2-$45 each; choose carefully to stay within your budget and pull off the exact look you’re going for. Some carpenters also charge for installation, on average $100 per cabinet box. Additional molding and trim, such as crown molding at the ceiling, cost an average of $70 per 8-foot section, and adding finished ends to exposed cabinets averages $100-$200.

How much does it cost to have kitchen cabinets installed?

In any kitchen, the cabinets are the main focus, so you want to make sure new or replacement cabinets are installed correctly. A professional carpenter can properly, securely mount new cabinets to the wall; the national average cost for this service is $7,725, although the cost varies widely depending on the type of cabinets, their material and their size, and the accessories you add. A typical fee is $70 per linear foot to remove existing cabinets and assemble and install new ones; the cost is less if you do the demolition and removal yourself. Stock cabinets are the least expensive to have installed, ranging from $75 to $400 each; semi-custom cabinets range from $150 to $900 each; and custom cabinets cost from $500 to $1,400 each. Wood cabinets are more expensive than those made from plywood or medium-density fiberboard (MDF) and finished with a laminate. Wood cabinets range in cost from $80 to $160 per linear foot. Laminate-finished cabinets cost $35 to $75 per linear foot, on average.
