FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Every training says "keep you core tight" but not many of them TEACH there clients how or why. After one session with me you will fully understand the job of your core, and be one step closer to putting your fitness to work outside of the gym.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a 2011 graduate of Greensboro College, with a degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in sports medicine. As a junior I was hired by BreakThrough Physical Therapy as a Physio Tech, and for 6 years I received hands on training in physical therapy and exercises recovery.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
For the past 5 years I have intentionally stayed away from personal training. Due to the fact that exercise coherence isn't typically all that great. But, while working in physical therapy it became clear to me that I had to change the way people perceive exercise and fitness. The reason so many people quit on exercise is because it hurts. They they to do something or they have a trainer who makes them do something they are not FUNCTIONAL STRONG ENOUGH TO DO. Then the next day instead of being sore from exercise they are in pain from it, and not many people are going to keep doing things that cause them pain. With my approach to exercise you don't have pain because I teach you how your body should be working. Not only while exercising but in your everyday functional life as well.
