Eight years ago I purchashed a full bred Shiba Inu from a reputable breeder in North Carolina. He was adorable, but unlike my two older dogs, he was stubborn and dog aggressive. After I received a couple of bad bites while breaking up fights, I took him to Ted. It wasn’t a minute too soon. He was eight months old by then and would not obey any commands and routinly attacked the bigger and older dogs. I dropped off a dog that had a perpetual scowl and a very bad attitude and some sharp teeth to match that attitude. Ted took him for two months-- no visits from me. Ted would email me me updates and assure me he was still alive and doing well. At the end of the two months, I picked up a dog who was smiling and excited to see me but stayed in sit position until he got the okay to move. He learned to wait, sit, down, come on command. He was a completely different dog. The extra added bonus of Ted’s training is the ongoing support I received whenever we had a set back. I say “we” but I mean me. I had to learn to be the alpha of the pack and that was not my first nature, but with Ted’s training, Toshi and I both learned our rolls and to this day, 7.5 years later, I have a great dog, truly my best friend. He is a good will ambassador around town, and a facebook favorite of all my friends. I always tell people, Ted saved Toshi’s life and it’s the truth.

We met Ted through mutual friends that purchased dogs from him. We worked with Ted for 6 training sessions, each lasting an hour or more. During the first session, Ted took time to get to know our dog and build trust with her. Throughout the remaining training sessions, she learned several skills quickly. She learned how to correctly walk on a leash, heel on command, stay at a directed place until given permission to leave, and gained confidence learning other skills from Ted. He was always on time and tuned in 100% to the training. He always gave advice for further training between sessions to prepare for the next. After our training was completed, he told us to contact him at any time with questions or concerns. He was also willing to offer follow up sessions if desired. I would highly recommend Ted if you're looking for a good, quality dog trainer!

I wouldn't send my dogs to anyone else. Ted is such an amazing trainer and person, our dogs absolutely love him! Our pups listen and have great temperaments! He always answers questions and gives helpful suggestions when we've asked. If you want your dogs to be well trained, call Ted!

I have had two dogs go through board and train with Ted and could not be happier with the results. The first was about 15 years ago and the second much more recently. Ted's knowledge and techniques were both outstanding and I would highly recommend him to all.

Ted @ QCK9 has been absolutely Awesome! He was able to straighten out my older Malinois-Mix and correct some behavioral problems. We've also recently started training with our Dutch Shepherd. The sessions have been fun and educational. I think that I've learned just as much as the dogs have.
