Carolina Solar installed 3M window film throughout my home in Spring 2009. I got the dark to provide maximum heat reduction. It took a little getting used to and I felt like the house had sunglasses on. Once I got used to it, I'm very glad I chose the darker film. Susan makes you feel like a family friend and was great providing the consultation service and follow-up even months after the installation when I needed tax forms and to "test" their warranty. The installers were meticulous with the installation and clean-up. I did have a window crack shortly after install. They told me it can happen on occasion and out of about 24 windows I had filmed, it only happened to one small half-round window. They were very prompt to honor the warranty. Carolina Solar was great and I highly recommend them.

I live on a NC lake with a lot of heat and sun. My home has a wall of glass on the water side along with 5 large skylights. After speaking with Susan Burke and Carolina Solar, my problems were quickly solved. Susan came to our home and personally gave us a quote, along with recommendations that were right on. I purchased a darker tint for the skylights, a medium tint for the rest of the windows throughout the whole house, with the exception of privacy tinting we needed for our master bath. The 3M product works very well, the price was very good, and the installation was quick, and very professional. I can't say enough good things about Susan and her team. I will say this though -- I thought enough of my experience that, based on our recommendations, our friends in Raleigh had they whole house done, our neighbors at the lake had their whole house done, and my sister had her house done in Garner, NC. I don't think you can go wrong with the 3M tinting product or the professionalism of Carolina Solar!

I had the 3m Window film installed by Carolina Solar Control, Inc on 4/2/2009. This install went well and the two guys that did work did a very good job. We had the film placed on the front side of our house(south/west facing). We did this to reduce the temperature of the 2nd floor of our house. After a year of having the film we feel it did not lower the temperature on the 2nd floor. We choose to go with a film that was not very dark. So we could have had better results with a darker film. Also we only did half our house. If you want to have the film install i would recommend Carolina Solar.

I wish I had done this 10 years ago! I ruined an oriental carpet by letting the sun come through unfiltered. Susan's installers did a great job and were very courtous as well. Susan gave me good advise on what I needed and the right price to go with my decision. I would defnitely recommend her company.
