FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I was fourteen, I really wanted a job so that I could get a car when I turned sixteen, but nobody would hire me because I was too young. Then my friend gave me a DVD that taught me how to make balloon animals, and I started working for a company that contracted out balloon twisters to restaurants. I worked with the company for two years and they made me the regional manager when I was fifteen. I quit after a while though because being a manager is not as fun as it sounds. After that I worked as a server at a restaurant called Bob Evans and did balloons there occasionally. Now, seven years later, I'm all balloons! I still do balloons at Bob Evans twice a week, but my main focus is birthday parties and other events. P.S. I got the car I wanted when I was sixteen :-)
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common types of jobs I do are birthday parties, spring or fall festivals, holiday parties, block parties, and other events. I also make balloons at Bob Evans in Cary twice a week.
