Danielle says, "I purchased a brand-new exterior French door two years ago and unfortunately had a different company install it while I was out of town. When I returned home, I couldnt believe what I sawthe door was nearly impossible to open, the lock plate cutouts were butchered, and there were multiple unnecessary cuts made into the door.I had four different professionals come out to try to fix it. While a couple managed to get it to open, it was still extremely difficult to use, especially for guests. Two of them even told me the door was beyond repair. For two years, I lived with itdealing with quarter-inch gaps at the top, the bottom hitting, layers of weather stripping to try to seal it, and heavy curtains just to block drafts. Honestly, every time I looked at that door, it upset me.I finally posted in a local Facebook group, and Blue Chip kept coming highly recommended. What really stood out was when Joe himself commented, Id love to be the 5th professional. His humor made me laughand got him the job.Joe came out, assessed everything, and confidently said it would be an easy fix. Ill admit, I was skeptical I had heard that before. I actually got emotional because I couldnt believe it was finally fixed. Today, I went to let my dogs out and instinctively braced myself to wrestle with the door and it just opened smoothly. Like a normal door. It was such a relief.Joe with Blue Chip will be handling all my future installations. I was told that the project would take 3-4 weeks, but it was completed in two. All was on time and on budget.Alex, the owner, came by every day to check the work. He communicated with me on every decision and kept me informed on which worker was coming and when they would be at our home.He had some great suggestions that I hadn't thought of and even went with me to pick out the tile and grout.I highly recommend SKIf I could give them a rating higher than 5, I would do it.I'm considering another bathroom project and will definitely hire SK if I decide to go ahead with it."See more
