I asked Jim to move 127GB of photos off a failing laptop to an external hard drive. He reformatted the hard drive, put in an external drive case, and provided a USB 3 cable. And he did it quickly. Thanks!

Jim is extremely knowledgeable and very professional. I had snapped my thumbdrive and was in need of data recovery services. He actually came to my house to conduct this service. I had an inaccessible external drive full of family photos. My initial attempt to recover this drive was with a large recovery company in town who shipped my drive to another company who wanted to charge more than my mortgage. That company later reduced their fee by half when I couldn’t afford it. It was still out of my realm of possibility. I found Jim via Thumbtack. He was knowledgeable about the brand of drive I had, honest about the chances of recovery and extremely helpful in offering options for preventing future problems. He was able to fully recover my data and provide a more dependable drive for storage. He also recommended numerous other options for technological improvements in our home and with our systems based on our needs.

I offer reasonable pricing structures that fit the job requirements. My bench fee for laptops and desktops is about half that of the big yellow tag retail chain. Hourly rates also available.
