Introduction: Carlo Avila has been teaching ballroom, Latin and swing dancing professionally for 15+ years. He has trained two students who have gone on to win national titles, and several who’ve won regional titles. He loves his students dearly and takes a great deal of pride in their success.
Carlo is a certified instructor of American style of ballroom dance, and a member of the National Dance Council of America. He grew up in Colombia, where he began dancing at a very young age and began his professional career in the United States in 2005, where he was trained under several international champions and top coaches.
He has also completed special trainings in tango (Buenos Aires, Argentina), salsa (Cali, Colombia), and Samba (Rio de Janiero Brazil.)

I have been taking lessons with Carlos for several years and my lessons are still as much fun as when I first started. Carlos is a patient, fun, and highly professional instructor who is invested in his student's dance aspirations whether that be a wedding dance, brushing up for a social event, or even competition. You can tell he loves to dance and to teach - his enthusiasm is infectious. 5 stars for Carlos!

Carlo is a wonderful dancer and a superb instructor with many years of experience. He has a great way of articulating how to improve my technique in ways that are easy to understand and he goes above and beyond to make me feel comfortable while I am learning. He is incredibly patient and makes dancing so much fun. Anyone who gets to dance with Carlo will have a grand experience and be very lucky. To top it all off, Carlo's lessons are very reasonable compared to the cost in other studios.

Con Ritmo is an excellent dance center. My instructor, Carlos is a very accomplished dancer and a wonderful instructor. He adapts his teaching approach to the needs of the individual student. He always provides clear, specific instructions, answers questions and provides feedback to insure success. He is professional and very patient and kind. Most importantly, he makes learning to dance very enjoyable and fun! I’ve been Carlos’ student for many years and have encouraged friends and colleagues to take lessons from Carlos. He is a fantastic instructor!

I have been learning from Carlos for a couple of years now. He is very professional, he makes learning fun, and does an excellent job of explaining technique and how it blends with body movement. I highly recommend his teaching style!
