The prices listed on Thumbtack are estimates and can vary depending on the details of the service needed. During our phone conversation, I explained why the pricing differed from the initial estimate based on the specifics you shared. You then mentioned that another provider offered a lower rate. I respectfully explained that, as a solo operator and small business owner, my pricing reflects the time, materials, and quality of service I provide. After discussing the scope of work again, I informed you that I couldn’t perform the first service for less than $200—especially after paying a $40 fee just to be connected with you through Thumbtack. At that point, you ended the call and immediately left a one-star review. Leaving a negative review because a business won’t match someone else’s lower quote—especially after the pricing was clearly explained—is both unfair and misleading. I stand by the value and integrity of my work, and I won’t cut corners just to underbid.
