We couldn't have asked for anyone better than Mike. He did excellent work on the backsplash we requested and then fixed the poor work that others had done including painting various areas, patching large holes in a bathroom wall, altering a door to fully close that had been put up quickly, and putting in a new light in the crawl space just to mention some. He is truly such a gentleman. We would whine about something that was in need of work and he would volunteer to get it done. The house is empty, so he came in throughout the early hours of the morning (2am -6am or earlier) and some late afternoons to make sure he had the job done with a great deal of quality and timeliness. I had updates at least once a day and pictures always accompanied them. I turned down the contractor my realtor recommended because I didn't appreciate his attitude, and took a chance on Thumbtack. I am so glad I did. I would definitely recommend him for any service he provides, and we _will_ use him again in our new house. I just wish we'd known him when we first moved in. I'm posting some of the photos he would send each day showing each stage he was in. Needless to say, call him first before you try someone else.

Mike was so helpful! We knew nothing about choosing or installing a new toilet so he met us at Home Depot, explained the options, and helped us pick one out before installing it. He was on time, friendly, and fast! He really went above and beyond.
Details: Replacement; there is an existing toilet (which needs to be replaced). • 1 toilet

Michael arrived at the job site early, and was ready to begin at the agreed upon time. I needed help and guidance in completing a project that I started over a year ago. Michael helped me get the project back on track, and brought tools that I didn't even realize that I needed to greatly enhance the quality of the workmanship. I definitely plan to hire Michael again for future projects.

Mike did an absolutely perfect repair of my dry wall. The repair is invisible. He is very meticulous, conscientious and knows what he is doing. I would highly recommend him. So glad I found him!!

Mike got my home ready for listing by taking care of all the miscellaneous repair items. Because of his work, we got an offer the first weekend it was on the market. We plan to use his help again to do some additional small repairs prior to closing on the home.
Details: I need help with many long-term or complex projects, approximately a full day of work • Repairs • Installation • Painting • Kitchen • Bathroom • Living room • Bedroom • Deck or porch • Windows • Doors • Plumbing • Hanging pictures or mirrors • Residential

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I'm not trying to get rich on your job. I just try to charge fairly for my time and a couple of regular guys who work with me as needed. I dont mark up for materials. You can buy them or I can but we will pick them up. Since I work around my regular job, I tend to give great pricing if you can be flexible with my schedule. Depending on your project, we may or may not complete your project in same weekend. However, I will not bug you about money and I won't surprise you with crazy bills either. I believe it's on me to manage my projects whether I am working per hour or by the project.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I'm very hands on with my projects. I personally contract work mostly on the weekends because I have another job. But, I do have a flexible schedule and a couple of great techs who can work during the week. I will see your job through completion.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm also a real estate investor and I manage my own properties. I've been doing renovation and repair type work for past 30 years but more actively in the past 15 years. Pretty much school of hard knocks with my projects since 2005 including my own. Lost count of how many times I have returned an apartment / house back into service.
