I had Sam come and fix an amateur paint job I had done a couple years back. Working with him versus my original painters could not have been any different. He was so kind and understanding - did an exceptional job despite the ridiculous turn around time I gave him. He was able to work with me around pricing as well. Sam truly went above and beyond an I can’t wait to use him in the future!

This was the 2nd job they did for my mother. The first was painting the livngroom which was done timely and well so we thought they would safe to use for a 2nd project. Well this project was a front door install. We were setup for a Saturday 9am appointment and got a call Saturday that he couldn't make it and would be there Sunday at 8am. They showed up at 10am. The door was installed and they failed to mention they tore off some of drywall next to the door. They finished up and left the new door packaging in the house and the old molding and door fràme in the front yard. I would have expected with all the inconvenience of canceling one day and arriving late the next that they would try to make it right with good customer service and clean up at the least. I won't be calling them for anymore jobs so beware the work done was adequate but everything that goes into overall customer satisfaction was lacking.

This was my 1st time trying this company to do work for me and everything started off great. I contacted three contractors and they all replied quickly and Sam was one of the first to come by and give a quote the next day. All of the quotes were with $200 of each other, and two stand out to me (Sams Drywall and Painting was one). I chose them to do services. They dis state during estimate it would take 2-3 days to complete, the were here two days.
This was my final text to them prior to starting and they agreed via chat as well:
Hello Sam,
I just want to confirm I understood what was agreed upon for verbal estimate to make sure I am comparing correctly with the written estimates received- thank you.
Repair Wall: $250
***repair opening in wall under tankless water heater
*** sand down wall where needed on that side
***tape / mud area once hole fixed
***paint back wall where repairs was made (same color)
Repair/Correct Ceiling Issue: $350
***repair seams sections in garage ceiling
***mesh, mud, and repair area for texture
***texture to match the existing popcorn texture —Add On: if needed pain entire ceiling white $200 additional
Laundry room: $300
***prime & paint all walls
Total is $900 unless ceiling gets painted then $1100 Please confirm that this is correct and add any missing information. Thank you again
The reason ceiling painting is add-on is because several painters stated if done right the texture that is sprayed on ceiling if matched correctly should not need painting afterwards. We were supposed to see after Texture pain on ceiling dried and then if color match off—the additional painting would be required.
There was an added question on Day 1 about including the other three walls to get painted so all will look same and there were a few areas needing spackling prior to painting. I was informed that would be an additional $400 and I agreed. The Three walls were spackled and painted satisfactory. Good Job at this point.
My Issues were with the wall that had whole that need repair and the Ceiling:
• Although there were issues with paint on door knob and some areas on ceiling-I let that go and wiped door knob clean and ceiling in laundry room was minimum.
• Sam did inform me about bubbling in a few spots on that wall near whole that was fixed—so when they left, I scraped areas/spackled and thought the paint on counter was leftover- so I painted, but it was a lighter gray. I contacted Sam and he stated he would drop off paint so I could do touchup myself. This could have been corrected by them.
This was Sam’s reply: No worries I will drop off a gallon next week if you’d like?
• The ceiling I was told give three days to dry, so that Monday I let them know it does not match and they stated it would be $450 instead of $200, which was agreed upon. I have already paid them the $1300, and now they don’t want to honor original contract and still have not dropped of any paint for touchup.
This was Sam’s Reply:
I apologize I’ve been trying to work around my schedule for this week I can head back out there Thursday if you’d like I wouldn’t be able to paint the entire ceiling for $200 the lowest I could do would be $450 including paint and we would be there for half a day and I will also drop off paint for the walls, In conclusion:
I would have expected to honor contract and complete ceiling for $200 as well as do what they stated and drop off at least a quart of paint or sample jar for touch ups I made from their work. I am not a satisfied customer but still gave an average rating of three since 2/3 of job was done and verified and I was satisfied with, but don’t know what happened to good customer service. I probably should not have paid them $1300 until ceiling dried, but I was trying to be proactive since most was done and would give the $200 if ceiling needed painting (never again). I won't be calling them for any more jobs the work done was adequate, except ceiling and some wipe-down services and Customer Service
