Katy's Math Tutoring

Introduction: I love working with students and helping them succeed! Over my 7 year teaching career in FL and NC, I've taught math and computer skills with students, 5th grade through 12th grade. I am certified in FL to work with gifted students, and as a gifted student myself, I can help a lot with some of the other factors that many gifted students face. I've also worked at an intervention or academic level with students having hurdles to overcome when learning math. I also tutored during college and can cover many college topics. My math tutoring strengths are in Algebra and Statistics, but I can cover just about anything with you! I've also been known to help students with Science and History. I can help with editing papers. Due to my background before becoming a teacher, I'm prepared to help with year 1 or 2 programming courses in almost any language, working with the Microsoft Office suite and other computer topics. I've taught in the classroom, done curriculum development, and even taught online! I'm comfortable with any venue, but I prefer to meet in a public place or online for our first session.
