FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
AT $50 an hour, my pricing is comparable to other quality tutoring services in the area. I offer a free half-hour initial consultation session to get acquainted and establish goals and a tutoring schedule.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, I like to have some discussion with a new student about their goals for tutoring and where they are academically in relation to the course we will work on. For ACT and SAT students, I am interesting in knowing scores for any previous tests, and again, what their their goal are in terms of future scores.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked with a well-known Raleigh tutoring agency for 9 years in addition to taking private students. During that time, I have worked successfully with literally hundreds of students for SAT and ACT prep as well as math curriculum tutoring. I am a former Wake County high school teacher and hold a Bachelor of Science degree, Summa Cum Laude.
