Keely has helped my daughter's range, tone and confidence. My daughter is a 16 year old HS junior and wanted help with range and with an upcoming audition. She's only been working with Keely for a short time but she helped her make Honors Chorus and continues to help her stretch herself. She meets with Keely weekly at her home and she has always been prompt and professional. I would definitely recommend Keely to anyone seeking voice lessons and/or help with an audition.

I'm only one lesson in, but so far, I would highly recommend Tokyo. He assessed my skills quickly and set me on a clear path, giving me songs to learn that addressed my specific needs... Even provided MP3's so I could play along with the originals! He his not only a gifted guitar player, but a natural teacher who seems to genuinely enjoy the process. Thanks, Toke!

My 9 year old daughter began flute lessons with Angela one year ago and we have been blown away by her progress. Angela truly has a gift for sharing her love and knowledge of the flute. She's a wonderful instructor and we are so sad she's moving.

About

A little of our LMLC story: Jeana and I have been music instructors for over 20 years. We have taught in music stores, in students' homes as well as out of our own home-based music studio. For the last 15 years, our preference has always gravitated towards instructing out of our home-based music studio because of the flexibility it affords us in being able to control the learning atmosphere that the students find themselves in when having their lessons. Quite possibly, you are interested in learning the wonderful language of music or furthering your musical abilities on an instrument. It could be that someone in your family has a burning desire to rekindle those musical embers of time past. You may know of a friend, a family member or even an acquaintance at work who is actively looking for a music teacher in the area for their children or even for themselves. Over the years, we have had the awesome privilege of teaching both young and old the rich language of music, be it on a bass, electric or acoustic rhythm guitar, piano, drums or even vocals. Our adult students have learned the value and reward of playing music even in their adulthood. It is a wonderful way to de-stress as well as give the dormant musical creativity within opportunity to find expression. I've even had adult students come for music lessons who have horror stories of poor music lesson experiences from when they grew up and want to overcome those unhelpful memories that have for whatever reason still gripped them into their adult life. Our mission has always been, 'Enriching the lives of young and old through music.' This still holds true today. We will consider teaching as young as 6 years old as determined on an individual basis. In terms of the music lessons themselves, style of music is broad and varied. Teaching methodologies are based upon the needs and learning styles of each individual student. Whilst individual lessons make up the large percentage of our teaching week, we aren't opposed to various group lessons of varying sizes. Steven and Jeana together offer workshops called "music boot camps" to local churches to help train and equip their musicians to make a "skilled" and not just joyful noise. Steven Holdstock Steven was born and raised in South Africa and began playing the piano at the age of 9. As a result of hard work, natural gifting, and an excellent instructor, Steven began playing professionally at the age of 12 and continued to do so through his teenage years and beyond. At the age of 15, he had completed his grade seven musical proficiency test. He later furthered his studies at the Psalmody Academy for the Performing Arts in South Africa. Steven's love for music did not stop with the piano, and he has ventured into the study of other instruments including, but not limited to, guitar (electric and acoustic), bass guitar, saxophone, etc. His skills really shine through in his ability to teach and inspire others to develop and release the musical giftedness within themselves. He offers private instruction in piano and guitar. Jeana Holdstock Jeana was born and raised in Virginia, USA. Her love for music began at an early age -- after graduating from high school. Jeana studied voice and piano at CFNI, Dallas, TX. Jeana began teaching shortly after graduating from CFNI. She later continued her studies at The Psalmody Academy of Performing Arts in Johannesburg, South Africa (which is where she met her husband). She has continued to hone her skills and teach throughout her adult life. She offers instruction in piano and voice in both private and group setting as well as beginner drums. She also offers group "Music and Movement" classes to the young at heart (preschool through grade 1) to lay a foundation for the love of music.

I took piano lessons from Mrs. Hoal for nine years, and I loved it! She was always so patient and took time to get to know how I learned best and what style of music I preferred to play. Not only was she interested in what I had been practicing each week, but she also cared how I was doing personally. I highly recommend her as a piano teacher!

About

I took piano lessons each week with Mr. Reitmeyer throughout high school. When I first met him, I had an interest in jazz, but didn't know a thing about playing it, especially improvising. Mr. Reitmeyer not only taught me how to play piano, but taught me what it meant to be a musician. Thanks to him and his support, I'm now studying jazz at North Carolina Central University.

Heather was my violin teacher while I was in junior high. She was absolutely wonderful! She brought such an uplifting and optimistic atmosphere to my lessons. While being highly educated in music, she was always able to bring concepts to a level that I would be able to understand. She was very easy to work with and was patient with my busy schedule. I am so grateful for the opportunity I had to study under Heather.

About

My son has been taking piano lessons with Chris Reed since 2010. He says, "I love having piano with Mr. Chris as my teacher because he pushes me to my limits without me even realizing I am going there." We truly have been blessed to have Mr. Reed as a piano teacher. He is not only a gifted musician himself, but also has a talent in knowing how to reach his students. He is very attentive to their needs and finds a way to meet them where they are. At the same time, he gives them new challenges to push them even further. I am very grateful that he has given my child a creative outlet that he can carry with him for the rest of his life.

About

If you are looking for a piano instructor, I'll provide professional service. I've played piano for 30 years. 11 of those years I used the Alfred books. Now, I train primarily using that method. Alfred is an very effective book series for lessons (children and adults). I also enjoy teaching how to play by ear. I make piano lessons enjoyable to where children and adults usually stay with me many years. I coach intermediate and advanced lessons. Let me help you today. If you are looking a voice instructor, I also provide professional service. I enjoy bringing the best out of people's voices (children, youth or adults). If your looking to expand range, improve breathing, and improve overall voice, I can help you. I was able to, with a few of my students, help them sing well enough for American Idol. I also have a recent student that I'm training for "The Voice." Even if that is not your goal, I can help you. I'm new from Oregon. So, most of my past lessons are out of Oregon. I do lessons out of my home (with wife in next room, also if parents need to be in the room I have a couch and chair as well) I am willing to travel for lessons within 25 miles. I have a Bachelor in Science with a major in music. I have 20 years of professional piano playing and singing. I have taught and coached lessons for 16 years.

About

I do in home lessons in the Raleigh and surrounding areas, particularly south of Raleigh around Clayton, Garner, Angier, Fuquay Varina, and as far south as Benson and Smithfield. I go as far as Zebulon east, Wake Forest north, and Durham and Cary West. I try to schedule lessons in a way that I'm not zigzagging back and forth all day. The convenience of your location and time with respect to my other lessons for that day, may increase or decrease your rate. My standard rates are: $30/30mins, $35/45mins, $40/60mins, $50/90mins, and $60/120mins per visit. I'm 28 years old and have been playing guitar since age 12. I am mostly self taught. I help people understand their instrument in a way that when they feel they are ready, can continue teaching themselves long after I am gone. I am very patient and easy to get along with. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks, Corey
