- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Consistent 1 on 1 training sessions with a coach are a great way to help you achieve the results you want with the needed accountability and support you require. Our coaches will work closely with you to discuss and assess your needs, help identify key weaknesses, and formulate a custom program to help you reach your fitness goals. At 4 Stroke Gym, our training philosophy is to provide a tailored strength and conditioning program designed to help individuals, regardless of their current fitness level, to become a healthier, stronger, and faster version of themselves. We incorporate elements from gymnastics, plyometrics, kettlebell training, high intensity interval training, and cardio conditioning with the overall goal to improve your GPP (General Physical Preparedness) so you get FIT and stay FIT! We start the journey with a FREE intro session so we can get to know you, your goals, your previous training experience, as well as your nutritional habits. Training is by no means a one-size fits all prescription. So we like to open a dialogue about where you want to go and what has and has not worked in the past. We will even complete a workout so we can assess your fitness level and any restrictions we can improve upon! After the FREE intro session, you will be able to evaluate if our style of coaching is right for you. If you want to continue with a plan tailored to your goals, we ask that you commit to at least 2-3 sessions per week, so we can start to build that healthy lifestyle geared to get you the results you want. From there, we will dive into an arsenal of training styles to build a plan that best suits YOU. Whether that is High Intensity Intervals, Strength Training, Bodyweight Training, Olympic Lifting, Obstacle Race Prep, or General Physical Preparedness, 4 Stroke Gym will create a SAFE, VARIED, and EFFECTIVE program that is fun and delivers on your goal.

- How did you get started doing this type of work?
After losing my home in Hurricane Katrina - I gained nearly 60lbs from excessive eating, drinking, and depression. My job was sedentary and I my health was cycling out of control. I found fitness and exercise when I changed jobs and worked for a health and wellness company. I eventually lost 60lbs and focused my training on performance. After making it on NBC's American Ninja Warrior, friends and co workers began showing up at my home to train with me. At that point, I started learning and getting certifications to help these folks achieve their goals. My passion shifted towards helping people achieve what I had achieved and left my corporate job to train full time.
