FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always have a plan of action for the first session. Of course, the customer can choose which particular section of the test to start with, but I always have a lesson plan for each section. My goal is not only to teach some immediately effective strategies, but also for me to figure out where a student really is when it comes to the GMAT or LSAT.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was a teacher, tutor, and teacher-trainer for a major test prep company for five years before going independent over ten years ago. It was quite fun, believe it or not.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Go with an expert tutor over a class, but shop around. I think it’s perfectly reasonable for a customer to ask to pay for the first session only if they hire the tutor for future sessions. If the customer isn’t satisfied after the first session, they don’t pay. But if they are satisfied then they have to pay for that first session, typically after the second session.
