Wow!!!! This guy is amazing. Purchased a package after my first lesson. If you are considering golf lessons this is your guy. Lessons weren’t high pressure, but great instruction. The video tools are out of this world. Can’t wait to practice what I learned.

Brad literally changed the swing of my 13 year old (a right-handed golfer) and 17 year old (a left-handed golfer) in a few lessons. I kid you not, my 13 year had a hole-in-one in September. There is no doubt in my mind the mechanical adjustmemts to his swing aided in this moment.

Justin is a wonderful instructor. His teaching style is a wonderful fit for anyone as he caters to each person individually. He likes to do a brief summary of what your goals and expectations are prior to the lesson so he fully understands where you want to be. After 5 lessons with him I have already met my goals. I thought it would take me about 20 lessons to be where I am now. His communication and ability to share information in a simple manner made it easy for me to understand.

I give one-on-one attention to my students and I care just as much, if not more, about the progress of your golf game as you do. In my opinion, there is no better feeling in the world than seeing the smile on my student's faces after the feeling of their first perfectly hit golf shot. That's why I do this job and I will do all I can to ensure each of my students complete satisfaction upon completion of our time together. The joy of first time golfers hitting their first good shot.

I am a former NCAA division II Men's and Women's golf coach here in the Charlotte area. I currently coach former players playing golf professionally. I love to coach.

I grew up playing baseball and had an opportunity to play in college. Unfortunately, I had to have a career-ending elbow surgery before my career really ever took off. After having surgery, I turned to golf and realized I had been blessed with the ability to play at a high level. For the past 5 years, I have been working and fine tuning my game, and 2 years ago, I started playing professionally. I have competed on various mini tours and competed in several PGA Tour qualifiers, and I am looking to take my knowledge and help players improve and reach their potential. Since I have a strong background in baseball, I also offer lessons to players looking to improve their game on the diamond as well.

We teach all aspects of the game of golf to all ages of students. I just love it when my students learn to hit good golf shots. This is the best job in the world.

I am more personal ,better understanding of what my clients need . I am not trying to sell them something ,but I target their specific needs and without displaying any robotic behavior. That I am really helping to improve the quality of people`s lives .

I am a former college and professional player. I have won at every level and competed once on the PGA Tour. I love the game of golf and want to pass my knowledge and expereince on to others

I teach both golf and tennis. I am an ex-professional tennis player myself from Uganda. I came to the US in 2006 and joined the tennis pro tour good for three years. My knees bothered me a lot, and so I stopped playing. I picked up golf, and I turned pro in 2010. Now, I do play golf professionally as well as teach too. I do not teach my students what I want them to have but rather teach them how to better and perfect on what they already have. I believe that we are all different in certain ways, and therefore, our eye hand coordination are different as well. Some people are genetically gifted athletes, and some people are just hardworking athletes. With that said, I see and assess my students before throwing my ideas around without any reason. I help my students build up on what they already have in order to strengthen and perfect on their natural ability. Nothing boosts your ego and excitement than being able to perform and task naturally without fear and/or pressure. Give me a try, and let's see how my teaching can help improve your tennis and golf game.

I love to see the look on a students face when they hit the sweet spot on the club for the very first time and seeing improvements in their game. To teach, to show, to demonstrate, to inspire, and to have FUN! My passion is to help anybody and everybody to play better golf. Love working with juniors and seeing the joy they bring to the game.

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What makes a good golf instructor?

A good golf instructor is someone who has the playing skill you’d like to achieve, is qualified to teach golf, and is someone you can get along with. Some experts recommend you only take golf lessons from coaches with active accreditation from reputable associations such as the PGA, LPGA, or similar organizations that focus on continuing education. You’ll be spending hours out on the green with the pro during lessons, so a good rapport, strong communication and the right personality fit are key. A proven track record is also important. Read reviews from their current and former students to make sure they have helped people achieve their golfing goals, and always ask about the instructor’s experience before signing on for lessons. Years of providing lessons can contribute to a deeper understanding of how to teach the sport. Just because your friend or partner is great at golf doesn’t mean they’ll give good golf lessons. Invest in a professional golf instructor who knows how to teach the sport from short game to full swing.

What age should you start golf lessons?

Golf lessons for kids can start as early as age four or five. They’re too young for formal training, but you can keep them interested and engaged and give them a feel for the game. U.S. Kids Golf recommends starting formal training for junior golfers at six years old. It’s important for young golfers to swing clubs that are the right length and weight for their body; U.S. Kids Golf provides a fitting guide.

Golf lessons for kids, especially young kids, should be about encouraging success rather than correcting mistakes, according to U.S. Kids Golf. If you want your child to love golf for life, you want their early experiences to be positive. Golf lessons for kids are less expensive than golf lessons for adults. A monthly rate (including four lessons) for group golf lessons for kids may average $100. Semi-private golf lessons for kids may range from $150 to $200 per month. Location and instructor reputation can also affect cost. Often, discounts are provided when multiple months are purchased at one time.

    How much are golf lessons?

Golf lessons are a great way to break into the sport or take your golf game to a new level. The national average cost for golf lessons is $50-$60, but prices will vary based on what type of lessons you want. The most expensive golf lessons will be private instruction with top-tier coaches. These are golf instructors who have held high professional ranking and have a good reputation. Regardless of who is teaching, private instruction is always more costly than couples’ lessons or small group lessons (usually up to four people). Teachers often offer a lower price per lesson when you buy a package of several lessons at one time. Here are some examples of average golf lesson costs:

    • Individual lessons:
      • Standard pricing for 60-minute private lesson: $60.
      • 60-minute lesson with renowned golf coach: $100.
    • Couples’ lessons:
      • Standard pricing for 90-minute duo lesson: $100.
      • 60-minute lesson with renowned golf coach: $125.
    • Golf lesson package pricing:
      • Purchase six individual lessons at one time and save $10.
      • Purchase 10 individual lessons at one time and save $40.
      • Purchase six couples’ lessons at one time and save $40.
      • Purchase 10 couples’ lessons at one time and save $200.
Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
