Personal Training
Honestly, after training with Matt I realized how you should train your body instead of just lugging weights at the gym and using all kinds of fancy machines. I used to train with a physical trainer before and boy was I in pain after every session and not feeling that I was getting strong at all. Lifts were always causing me problems on the lower back and he would hardly give pointers to correct the same. I came across Matt's profile on Thumbtack while I was looking to switch coaches and finally I found the right coach who gives complete attention to the client for the session correcting mistakes till you get how to do the movement properly. It is a slow process and Matt has incredible patience, because you need to build strength to pull of a complex lift correctly. The results are now starting to show after training with him for 3 months - I can do proper deadlifts, kettlebell swings, complex movements and add to that my short term goal of doing proper pullups. His training methods improved my posture and my constant back pain is gone and I can see the difference in my strength. If you are looking for a coach who gives you proper attention and makes you work towards your personal strength goal, Matt is the coach you are looking for. He keeps the session fun and throws a new challenge every time to keep things interesting!

Personal Training
I've spent several years struggling to improve my 5k time and it feels like I've been running in circles the entire time. I started working with Matt about four months ago and it's been fantastic. He set me up with a weekly running program, tracked all of my workouts through the TrueCoach app, and worked with me in person several days a week. Every time I had a question or a bad run day or needed to reschedule Matt was a text away. He'd respond immediately. He's also unerringly professional and a lot of fun to work with. In the months I spent working with Matt I ran a personal record on a three mile run three times. The last time that's happened was in 2015. I'll be honest, when I started working with Matt I didn't expect the results to be anything to write home about but I'm a faster runner than I've ever been before in my life. The experience has been outstanding. I'd absolutely recommend him as a coach.
