These guys were great. I needed some large pieces of furniture moved up and down 2 flights of stairs. I really appreciated they care they took to not run into any wall or cause any damage. I would definitely use them again in the future! Thanks guys!

My son had some heavy furniture in his basement, and had suffered some water damage to that area. He and a friend tried and failed to move the furniture so the water damage could be fixed. Black belt movers got the job done in about 40 minutes.

We needed help moving large furniture into my daughter's condo downtown to the second floor.Mr Nelson and his son did an awesome, excellent , expedient and an outstanding job of not only moving all the furniture but also assembling it all for us which was a huge huge help .They are a very friendly duo and you immediately feel at ease with them. Not only that but also most importantly they are very very reasonably priced.A very good experience for us. Thank you very much Mr Nelson and son.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

100% the best experience we have had with moving. From contact with Tammy on each step, constant communication from the team of packers and movers, the move was seamless! On time for them was not at the last minute, but rather within the 1st 15 minutes stated! Appreciate that the team loading was also the team unloading!

Matt showed up exactly on time, was extremely professional, and his rates were reasonable. I hired him to assemble furniture, and while he was not necessarily as experienced as I would have liked, he kept at, didn't give up, and got the job done. I would hire him again.

I had an overall great experience with Innerlight Moving. They were extremely conscientious about moving my furniture, they took time to carefully wrap up and protect my furniture that way it wouldn't get scratched or otherwise ruined in the move. They were kind and easy to work with. My one complaint would be the amount of time it took for them to move me. I was expecting that the move would be completed in 3 hours tops - and it ended up taking closer to 5 hours. Not the worse thing in the world, because as I stated earlier - they were being very careful with my belongings, and I'd rather have them take extra time to do that than to have ruined furniture. But the time commitment was something I wasn't anticipating, especially being in a crunch for time that day. Overall, they did a great job.

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much should you tip furniture movers?

Moving furniture is hard work and potentially dangerous unless youโ€™re properly equipped. For anyone not ready to handle their heavy oak armoire alone, professional furniture movers can safely and efficiently move your items to another room in your house or across town as needed. The national average cost to hire heavy furniture movers is $150-$200 per hour. This rate could include multiple furniture movers working as a team to move items such as beds, armoires, billiards tables, pianos, shelves, tables, entertainment centers and more. Hourly rates can vary by region. If your furniture movers have arrived on time, done a great job, kept your home and belongings protected from scratches and dings, and completed the move as planned, a tip will be greatly appreciated. Moving companies suggest approximately 10 percent of the total bill as gratuity for those doing local moving jobs, which is also a good guideline for tipping heavy furniture movers. If the total bill for heavy moving was $100 and two workers were onsite, consider giving them $10 total, or $5 each for a job well done.
