Introduction: My teaching style is influenced by a delightfully diverse range of professional training and personal life experience. On the physical side: YA200 teacher training, choreographed and freeform dance, actor training, movement and body-contact work, aerial work, voice training (you would not believe how much of my personal physically-focused vocal warmup I incorporate into yoga!) to name a few. On the mental/psycho-emotional side: actor/voice training (again, it's uncanny how useful they both are in yoga), in-depth study of and continual extended exploration and reflection on various sacred and philosophical texts, solo and guided meditation, transcendental visualisation/meditation, talk therapy, leading group spiritual rites, and just a touch of hypnosis. Giving students a chance to detach from the world briefly, make small shifts and changes to their inner workings and physical bodies...to look within, accept everything they discover as a part of themselves, find what is useful, let go of what is not useful...and return as more awake, aware, loving, and effective humans.

Practicing yoga with Ms. Walsh was a beautiful experience! She is very knowledgeable, thorough in her descriptions of the poses, and just a lovely individual. She establishes a calming and pleasant atmosphere and leads practice from a place of love and openness. Her voice is incredibly soothing as well.

I enjoyed her instruction, especially her focus on breathing techniques. I also liked that she was willing to experiment with new forms of yoga each class; kept things fresh.

I attended Kat's kinky yoga class and LOVED it! It was so gentle, relaxing but challenging. Perfect balance. I love her gentle edginess. I can't wait for the next class.
