Introduction: Hello! My name is Melissa Nissen! I have had dogs my whole life— I have my masters in Behavior Analysis (the study of learning/operant conditioning) and have been training dogs and other animals for the last 10 years. I use a lot of positive reinforcement (praise, clicker training and treats) to teach positive behaviors and also corrective procedures without harsh punishment to decrease undesirable behavior. I provide 1:1 training sessions alone with the dog to teach him/her new commands/expectations and I also offered co-trainings, in which I provide guidance and feedback to the owner working with the animal. Behaviors to Teach: -Basic Commands (sit, stay, come, respond to name, etc) -Walking Properly on Leash (without pulling) -Kennel Training (without whining!) -Potty Training -Social Skills with People and Pups -Circus Tricks :) Behaviors to Decrease: -Excessive Barking -Jumping -Running out of Door
