I have been taking lessons with Michele for almost a year now and it has been a pleasure. My playing has improved tremendously, and she has been willing to work at a pace I'm comfortable with. She is very personable and always flexible with scheduling. She meets you at whatever skill level you are at and has a knack for increasing and developing that skill.
After having self taught myself for over a decade on and off, I began lessons with Zach and learned many new things within the first lesson. Zach does a great job in getting to know what your goals are, and teaches in an easy to understand way. He's a pretty awesome dude too. :)
Our 9-year-old daughter started taking piano lessons in April and we are thrilled that her love of music continues to grow under Amy's tutelage. Our daughter loves Amy, looks forward to each and every lesson, and is completely self-motivated to practice throughout the week (any parent knows that's a big deal) because Amy provides the perfect blend of knowledgeable instruction, musical enthusiasm, appropriate challenges, unbridled encouragement, and a reassuring calmness in showing her students that any struggle can be worked through together. Simply put, Amy is a wonderful teacher. We would (and do) highly recommend her to anyone in search of a music instructor!
I have been taking piano lessons from Julie Guile (Noteworthy Music) for about two years now. I love her teaching style; she covers a more broad perspective of music besides just reading notes on a page. Our lessons are truly an artistic experience which have challenged me to learn genre' that I have never tried before. We also cover a balanced amount of both theory and application. Julie schedules recitals and field trips each quarter. We played Christmas Carols at Regency Mall in December; traveled to South Dakota to tour the National Music Museum in the Spring; and perform recitals in her home, where we get the chance to meet fellow students and their families. I also want to mention that during the first month of lessons, I performed in downtown Omaha for the general public during a "music around town initiative" - Various pianos were placed around the city for all to enjoy. Julie has amazing credentials. The fees are reasonable. Her grand piano is a joy to play. She's truly the best teacher in Omaha.
Sarah immediately connected with my daughter. She is knowledgeable, experienced, and engaging. After the first lesson, I asked my daughter (who is 14) how she felt and she said, "My brain feels nourished." I highly recommend Sarah.
Our daughter has taken piano lessons from Anne for five years - following four years with other teachers. Anne is an excellent teacher. Our daughter loves her lesson time and she has grown to high levels in her performance skills thanks to Anne's guidance.
I offer 30-minute private violin and piano lessons once a week. Tuition is $75 per month. All ages are welcome. I teach using the Suzuki and traditional methods. My degrees are in Piano and Violin from the University of NE. I have over 30 years experience in teaching privately and in the school system. My teaching style is to teach through love. The students choose to do well out of respect for themselves and the love of the music. I teach my students to read, music theory, proper technique, and learning skills. I would love to teach you, your children, or the whole family. Thank you.
We signed up for 7 year old son for piano lesson's with Kayla. He had no knowledge or experience with piano coming in and Kayla has done a great job keeping his weekly lesson engaging and fun. Our son looks forward to his lesson weekly because of Kayla's fun and exciting teaching approach. Our daughter is already excited about starting when she's old enough.
While piano has been a lifelong passion, I love to share my gift as a teacher, accompanist and performer. I have taught piano lessons as young as six to adult.
Adkins Guitar Lessons is a family owned and operated business. The first instrument I picked up was the drums at age 10 and over the last several years I have added guitar and bass to my tool-belt. My brother and I come from a very musical family with many years of experience teaching guitar and bass.
I give piano and voice lessons. I also offer lessons in baking and decorating cakes for all occasions. I will deliver wedding cakes but for others, you have to pick it up. Students come to me.
I've been teaching piano to people ages six to 99. I cater to in-home studio teaching from a grand piano. I teach from the Alfreds, Bastien, Faber and Faber methods depending on the student. I charge $14.00 for approximately one and half hour lesson. I will teach younger than six years if the child can sit for at least 20 minutes.
Music is my field and teaching is my passion. I have space available for 5-7 students who want to study music through piano or voice. The goal is to gain music literacy in reading, performing and listening. Using classical music as a foundation, students use skills to link to all other styles. Vocally, I teach technique that maximizes the voice potential for whatever style interests the student. Piano students learn to read music, play solos and duets. I am an accomplished vocal soloist. I have served as the keyboardist and choir director for several churches, have taught public school music at levels K-12, and taught voice and music education courses at the college level. I enjoy students of all ages and welcome interviews for available time periods. Lessons are generally 30 minutes.
I give some guitar lessons. I charge $15 or $30 per hour. I've been playing since I was seven years old.
I'm a self-taught guitarist who's been playing for about eight years. I understand that everyone learns differently, as I myself am not a conventional learner. I have experience in teaching kids from my years working as a swimming instructor at Larson Lifestyle Center.
I am EXTREMELY flexible and will orient my lesson plan around my student's wants as well as making sure they learn the necessary components to play the instrument. Fun is a huge part of my lesson plan and I am just as fun as I am a good teacher! Just give me a shot and you will see.
We provide guitar lessons for all ages! Our services are the following: * Private Instruction Guitar Lessons: The principle of guitar is taught at lessons. Students can choose whether they wish to play on an electric or acoustic guitar. It is important for all students to have a book to work from in addition to a pencil and a notebook to write down their lessons. Guitar lessons are given in 30-minute sessions. The cost of each lesson is $18. Once a specific time and day of the week to meet has been agreed upon by the teacher and the student, one month of lessons will be blocked off and reserved for that student. Payment of one month of lessons is due the beginning of each month. * Group Lessons: Group lessons can be a mix of students of various ages. The cost is $40 for a month session. Each session will be once a week and will last 40 minutes each. The group lesson will go over the basics of guitar, such as entry level chords, strumming, reading tab, and some basic guitar riffs. There may be advanced groups if there is an interest. Discounts are available for siblings wishing to take the class together. If you wish to continue on to individual private lessons after taking a group class, the first lesson is free after paying for one month of private lessons. You can also receive one free private lesson if you refer a friend and if they sign up for private lessons. What you can expect from me: You can expect professionalism, dedication, flexibility, friendliness and to be easy to work with. What I expect from you: You practice your lesson and be prepared. I teach guitar, bass, and drums. I also play keys, and have a blues/rock group that I perform with called Charlie and the Fez Kings. I get airplay on stations around the world in the blues genre, and have CDs available on iTunes, Napster and Amazon. Hearing these tracks should give you a clue as to my qualifications as a teacher.
I teach guitar, bass, singing, songwriting and real-world theory in the most precise way to what you or someone you know wants to learn, while giving the student a taste of all other styles. I've had 100% success rate of satisfied students. Teaching is never what I wanted to do, but a new way of teaching occurred to me from real-world experience that made me rewrite how it's done. Music can be the most fun but yet deeply personal thing to express what's most important in life, and anyone who wants to can be great at it. Let's get started if your serious!
