Introduction: I have been a personal assistant in Omaha for 6 years so I understand that the relationship between homeowner and housekeeper is very important. It takes time to build trust and get the hang of what needs to be done and how to do it. Communication is a high priority for me. I value relationships with my clients, and I want you to feel comfortable with me in your space.
Cleaning is a fairly straight forward concept, but inviting a stranger into your house is kind of scary, and no household is the same. Housekeepers, we see almost every part of your house and we touch most all of your things. It’s kind of weird when you think about it!
We would start with a free consultation. Together we schedule a time for me to come to your house so you can show me around and explain to me what you would like me to do for you. We can get to know each other during that time. I will give you a quote, and after you think it over, hopefully you like me, and we will move forward from there!
A little about me.. I grew up in the SW suburbs of Chicago and moved to Nebraska to study at UNL. I graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor’s degree in studio art. I’m an artist, maker and crafter. I make large expressionist oil paintings, but I’m compelled to create so I also make clothes, build shelves, make cutting boards, jewelry. I hope to take a pottery class soon!
I was a baker during college, and I loved it! I moved to Omaha in 2013 and while looking for new employment I started to nanny for friends. I really enjoyed the flexibility of self-employment, and I like to clean so I thought I’d try housekeeping. I found my first housekeeping job through craigslist and I still work for that family now- I also clean for their daughter. I get most of my jobs through referrals to my client's family members, friends and coworkers.
From 2018-2019 I lost 4 clients because they’ve moved out of Omaha so I’m turning to alternative ways to find new clients. I have a profiles through Thumbtack, Care.com and I also have a website: NinaColgan.art where you can find testimonials written by previous and current clients.
